A distributor tube has tube slots in its shell surface transversely of the inflow direction of a fluid into the distributor tube. A casing tube is enclosed by the distributor tube and is divided into flow chambers, each of which is bounded by two annular plates and connected to an inlet sector. A star-shaped volume flow divider is located on the inlet side of the distributor tube as a tube insert, which divides the introduced mass flow rate into partial flow rates for the flow chambers. In another embodiment, the distributor tube encloses a rotationally symmetric pressure distributor, whereby the fluid within the distributor tube encounters equal pressure in the radial and axial flow directions over the inlet length of the distributor tube.

A photosensitive composition is described, which contains a diazonium salt polycondensation product and a polymeric binder which is soluble or at least swellable in aqueous-alkaline solutions and comprises a reaction product of a trimellitic anhydride, the free carboxyl group of which is esterified with an alcohol containing a urethane group, with a polymer containing hydroxyl groups and having no further functional groups capable of reaction with acid anhydrides. The composition yields an increased print run and has, at the same time, good storability and developability.

The developer includes water, an organic solvent, a surface-active agent, an alkaline agent, a complexing agent, a buffer substance, an emulsifier and an n-alkanoic compound. Use of the developer suppresses speck and fibril formation in the developing process, and can be used in reproduction layers which optionally contain a binder.

Developer for preparing printing forms and process therefor

Disclosed are a novel photosensitive recording material and a method for using the recording material in the production of planographic printing plates. The recording material comprises a support and a negative-working photosensitive layer that contains a diazonium salt polycondensation product as the photosensitive compound and, in addition, a colorless inorganic pigment which is insoluble in water and organic solvents and which has an average particle diameter from 1 to 20 .mu.m. The pigment is present in a quantity from 0.01 to 2% by weight, relative to the non-volatile constituents of the layer, and is evenly distributed in the layer. Due to the pigment content, a rough layer surface is formed, which has the effect of reducing the time required for creating a vacuum in a vacuum frame into which the recording material is mounted. The presence of the pigment in the layer also produces an improved tonal rendering in the print obtained.

A process for producing negative relief copies is disclosed in which a light-sensitive material, consisting essentially of (1) a binder which is insoluble in water and soluble in aqueous-alkaline solutions and (2) a light-sensitive ester or amide of a 1,2-benzoquinone-2-diazide-4-sulfonic acid, a 1,2-benzoquinone-2-diazide-4-carboxylic acid, a 1,2-naphthoquinone-2-diazide-4-sulfonic acid, or a 1,2-naphthoquinone-2-diazide-4-carboxylic acid, is imagewise exposed, thereafter heated and, after cooling, exposed again without an original, and subsequently developed by means of an aqueous-alkaline developer. The disclosed process permits the production of negative copies with the aid of a material which yields positive copies when it is processed in a conventional manner.
