A passenger transport system and a method of operating the same are described. The passenger transport system includes a passenger conveying device, a control unit for controlling an operation of the passenger conveying device, and a disinfecting device for disinfecting a surface to be disinfected on the passenger conveying device. The disinfecting device includes a controller for controlling an operation of the disinfecting device. The control unit of the passenger transport system and the controller of the disinfection device are adapted in such a manner that status signals, which reflect information about a current operation, a current state, and/or a current configuration of the disinfection device, are sent from the controller to the control unit, and the control unit generates control signals taking into account received status signals and transmits them to the controller, wherein the controller controls the operation of the disinfection device taking into account received control signals.

Passenger transport system with disinfection device and method for operating same

The disclosure relates to a passenger transport system which is designed as a moving walkway or escalator. The passenger transport system has two access regions and a conveyance region, each of the two access regions having a walking-accessible surface. At least one of the walking-accessible regions is provided with a guide device for guiding and channeling users with different needs, wherein the guide device comprises tactile elements whose planar arrangement in the access region divides the walking-accessible surface into a first corridor with tactile elements and a second corridor without tactile elements. The two corridors are arranged next to each other and extend over the walking-accessible surface in a direction of conveyance of the passenger transport system.

The disclosure relates to a handrail disinfecting device for a handrail of a passenger transport installation. The handrail disinfecting device has a plurality of light-emitting diodes that can emit germicidal electromagnetic radiation in the region of their light cone. A pass-through segment of the handrail disinfecting device is divided into at least two sectors and has a carrier having planes that are arranged in the sectors. The light-emitting diodes are arranged on the carrier such that they are oriented according to the planes. In one of the sectors, there are two planes that are arranged in parallel with the longitudinal extension of the pass-through segment and so as to be mutually inclined at an angle of 100° to 160°.

A conveyor chain for a pallet belt of a moving walkway is described. The conveyor chain comprises multiple elongate chain links, which are arranged behind one another at a chain pitch, and which can be subjected to a tensile load by link pins and are coupled so as to be pivotable about a longitudinal center axis of the respective link pin transverse to the longitudinal direction. The conveyor chain furthermore comprises multiple elongate connecting elements that are likewise arranged behind one another and pivotably coupled to one another. Each of the connecting elements is coupled to an associated first link pin with a front end and coupled to an associated second link pin with a rear end. In this case, a connecting element pitch between the first and the second link pin amounts to an integer multiple of the chain pitch.

A method for mounting a conveyor chain for a pallet belt of a moving walkway is described. Provided elongated connecting elements for fastening pallets are coupled in one coupling process to one another and to chain links, which are coupled to one another, such that the connecting elements are arranged one behind the other parallel to the extension direction of the conveyor chain, each of the connecting elements is coupled at a front end to an associated first one of the chain pins, and at a rear end to an associated second one of the chain pins, wherein a connecting element spacing distance between the first and second chain pins is an integer multiple of the chain spacing distance.

The application relates to a passenger transport apparatus comprising at least one drive sprocket for driving and deflecting a conveyor belt, and at least one detecting apparatus for detecting the rotational speed of the drive sprocket. Slot-shaped recesses are arranged on at least one annular side surface of the drive sprocket, wherein the longitudinal extension of the slot-shaped recesses extends in the radial direction with respect to the rotational center of the drive sprocket over the annular side surface. The detecting apparatus makes it possible to generate a signal that represents the rotational speed of the drive sprocket, by means of scanning of the slot-shaped recesses&#x2014;which can move relative to the detecting apparatus&#x2014;and the elevations present between the slot-shaped recesses.

The application relates to a floor covering of an escalator or moving walkway. The floor covering has a floor covering support, a first covering element and at least one adjoining covering element. At least one device which predetermines a single-possible, correct installation position of the covering elements on the floor covering support is arranged between at least the first covering element and the adjoining covering element, wherein, in the correct installation position, the first covering element and the adjoining covering element are arranged to be flush with the floor covering support and, in an incorrect installation position, at least part of the adjoining covering element is arranged in a visibly protruding manner on the floor covering support due to the device.

Floor covering of a passenger conveyor

This application relates to a floor cover of a passenger-conveying device such as an escalator or a moving walkway. The floor cover has a plurality of cover elements and at least one coupling element. The coupling element is positioned between a first cover element and a second cover element. The coupling element has a coupling region configured to couple the first cover element to the second cover element for loading in tension and for angling relative to each other. The coupling element also has a restoring region configured to cause a restoring force between the first cover element and the second cover element as soon as one of the cover elements is raised upward in deviation from a desired configuration. The restoring force is directed in such a way that the raised cover element is acted upon toward the desired configuration.

Through its elastic deformability, to absorb lateral forces (F) the glass panel () displays lateral displaceability within a permissible deformation play (s), lateral displaceability within the permissible deformation play (s) being limited by the support ().

Escalator or moving walkway with a transparent balustrade

The escalator step () or the travelator plate comprises a step skeleton () or a plate skeleton which carries at least one tread element (). A first cheek (), a central cheek (), a second cheek (), a carrier (), a bridge () and a bracket () form the step skeleton (). For each cheek (), a sheet metal blank is stamped from a sheet metal strip and is subsequently formed into the cheek by means of deep drawing processes. The carrier (), bridge () and bracket () connect the cheeks (), wherein the components are welded by means of spot welding processes. The carrier (), bridge () and bracket () are produced endlessly from sheet metal coil by means of a rolling deformation process and are cut to length depending on the step width.

A wall-integrable lens arrangement and a wall-integrated device with a connection housing and such a lens arrangement includes a connection housing having a radiation-emitting element. The connection housing is arranged on a first side of a wall and has an attachment portion and a connecting member. A lens arrangement has a lens head that is transparent to the radiation and an attachment portion and a connection member. The wall has a wall breakthrough through which at least one of the attachment portions projects, the connection members of the connection housing and the lens arrangement being mutually engaged. The wall breakthrough and at least one of the attachment portions that projects through it are complementary and formed in such a manner that the lens arrangement is maintained in a pre-specified horizontal position or rotational position and secured in the position against rotation.

Escalator with illuminated balustrade

A lighting system for a moving walkway or escalator installation and a moving walkway or escalator installation with a lighting system is disclosed. The moving walkway or escalator installation comprises a plate belt or step belt and a balustrade. The lighting system comprises a light-permeable inner panelling of the balustrade which is formed by one or more mutually adjoining plates free of interruption as well as one or more lighting bodies which are mounted in corresponding sockets. The sockets are fastened in the interior of the balustrade to a mechanical structure. The inner panelling of the balustrade can be illuminated over a whole area by the lighting system.
