A method and apparatus for incinerating combustion material in the form of combustible waste during cement production is provided. The method includes introducing combustion material in the form of combustible waste into a combustion chamber and burning the combustion material within a first air flow. In addition, a second air flow in a region of a floor of the combustion chamber is included in such a manner that residues or remaining combustion materials which are located on the floor are moved by the second air flow back into the first air flow. Cement raw meal can also be fed into the combustion chamber.

Method and device for incinerating combustion material

The invention relates to the cooling of hot bulk material, particularly cement clinker, ore material or the like, in a grate cooler, in which the bulk material is transported on the cooler grate surface toward an outlet and exposed to cooling gas from below. At least a part of the relatively cooler lower portion of the material layer is discharged through suitable chutes upstream of the cooler outlet while in transport to increase the cooling efficiency of the process.

Method and grate cooler for hot bulk material

In this tiltable supporting roller bearing according to the invention for supporting a rotary drum there are provided a freely rotatably mounted supporting roller and an appertaining bearing structure which is tiltably supported with respect to a stationary foundation plate with the aid of easily shifted support bearings which are arranged inclined against one another in such a way that the point of rotation of the line of contact between the supporting roller and the riding ring of the rotary drum lies with the vertical central axis of the supporting roller. With a particularly simple and reliable design, this construction makes it possible to compensate for skewing of the rotary drum riding ring and at the same time markedly to reduce or largely avoid undesirable consequences of the axial forces resulting from longitudinal movements of the rotary drum.

Tiltable supporting roller bearing

The invention relates to a rotary drum with relatively large dimensions, the shell of which is supported by means of riding rings each on a pair of supporting rollers of a supporting roller stand. For this purpose the rotary drum shell merely bears two riding rings which are attached so as to be fixed against rotation and which are supported on two supporting roller stands of which at least one simultaneously forms the rotary drive arrangement for the rotary drum in the form of a friction drive. This produces a combination of features by means of which the mounting of the rotary drum is statically determinate and can be driven reliably in an extremely simple manner.

Rotary drum

In this cooler grate according to the invention the supporting surfaces of the grate plates fixed on grate plate supports are provided with cooling gas openings which open upwards and are constructed in the form of substantially endless annular gaps, so that on the one hand a particularly effective cooling of the grate plates and on the other hand a particularly intensive cooling of the material transported over the cooler grate is achieved.

The invention relates to a roll mill, particularly a material bed roller mill for the comminution of brittle material for grinding, with two grinding rolls which are driven so that they rotate in opposite directions and are pressed against one another at high pressure, each of these grinding rolls having a roll shell of wear-resistant chill cast material with a surface profile. So that the rolls have a particularly good nip capacity and a high wear resistance, profiles in the form of weld beads of wear-resistant deposit welding material are applied to the surface of the chill cast roll shell.

Roll mill

The invention relates to a machine for compacting and/or crushing bulk material, in which two rollers which can be pressed together at high pressure each consist of a main roller body and a roller shell which is releasably connected to the main roller body and is composed of individual segments. Each of the individual segments has one single lug projecting in the circumferential direction on the front long side in the direction of rotation of the roller and one single complementary recess on the rear long side in the direction of rotation of the roller. The generatrices of the outer surfaces of the segments point in the circumferential direction and run radially with respect to the roller axis. This results in a simple construction of the segments and a high degree of security against tilting.

Material crushing roller construction

A roller mill assembly composed of a pair of rollers spaced apart to form a crushing zone therebetween and having recesses which are dimensioned and shaped so that during the grinding process feed material is embedded in the recesses and fills them to increase the draw of feed material into the crushing zone.

Roller mill

This grinding roller intended for use in a material bed roller mill comprises a basic body and a roller shell composed of individual firmly clamped segments, and several sheets of softer material which run transversely and are aligned radially are cast into each segment which is made largely from chill casting. In a simple manner this produces a surface profiling of the roller shell which remains approximately constant during the operating life of the segments with improved feeding behavior of the material for grinding.

Grinding roller

The invention relates to a material bed roller mill with a fixed roller and a floating roller which between them form a grinding gap and a hydraulic-pneumatic spring system which presses the floating roller in the direction of the fixed roller and contains at least one hydraulic working cylinder and a working pneumatic spring which cooperates therewith for each side of the floating roller. The spring container of each working pneumatic spring is divided by two movable pistons into a central gas filling chamber and two opposing hydraulic fluid chambers, and a stroke measuring device is associated with one piston for the preliminary filling pressure of the hydraulic fluid. In this way it is possible to reset the grinding force during operation by means of the hydraulic pressure with the same pneumatic spring characteristic on both sides of the floating roller.
