A 3-strand rotating field machine with a 2p-pole stator with winding teeth (Z), formed with a winding arrangement in tooth coil technology, has three winding strands (W, W, W). The winding arrangement is formed from wound coil groups (G) with coils that are multiply interleaved. The partial coils (T) of the coil groups (G) are arranged so they concentrically enclose one another from inside to outside and surround two or more winding teeth (Z). The respective coil winding numbers in the grooves (N) between the winding teeth (Z) are provided. Thus, in each case a substantially equal occupancy of each groove (N) is provided with the same effective total conductor cross section of the coils per groove cross section.

Winding arrangement for a three-phase machine

A PM line-start motor, preferably motors having a power of at least 5 kW, and a switch-on method therefor are provided. The motor includes a rotor and a stator having a stator winding designed as a pole-reversible rotary field winding. With the aid of the pole-reversible rotary field winding, the regenerative braking torque generated during the asynchronous high-run operation can be avoided, preferably by use of a sequence controller to control the changeover of the pole-reversible rotary field winding in the run-up phase.

The aim of the invention is to achieve a high torque yield in synchronous machines excited by permanent magnets. Said aim is achieved by using subharmonic air gap fields. The rotor comprises an induction cage as well as permanent magnets. The number of winding holes of the stator is greater than q=0.5. The number of poles of the rotor is greater than the base number of poles of the air gap field produced by the windings.

For achieving a constant capacity range by way of field weakening of a permanent magnet excited drive the magnetic transverse resistance (Rm) of the rotor plate pack is increased by pole gaps (P , P ), which are produced by milling into the upper surface (O) of the rotor plate section (L), or are punched into the rotor plate section (L), whereby a covering of the poles of T in the range of from 70% to 80% has been shown to be particularly advantageous.
