A sensor is provided for determining at least one parameter of a fluid medium flowing through a measurement channel, in particular an intake air mass flow of an internal combustion engine. The sensor has a sensor housing, in particular a plug-in sensor that is inserted into or is insertable into a flow tube, in which sensor a measurement channel is fashioned, and has at least one sensor chip situated in the measurement channel for determining the parameter of the fluid medium. The sensor housing has an electronics compartment for accommodating an electronics module and has an electronics compartment cover for closing the electronics compartment. The electronics compartment cover has, at least in part, electrically conductive properties. For example, the electronics compartment cover is placed onto the electrical ground of the sensor and, viewed in projection, partly or completely covers the sensor chip.

An ultrasonic transducer for use in a fluid medium is proposed. The ultrasonic transducer includes at least one transducer core which has at least one acoustic/electric transducer element, in particular a piezoelectric transducer element. At least one piezoelectric transducer element is joined directly or indirectly to at least one matching member for promoting vibration coupling between the piezoelectric transducer element and the fluid medium. A matching member is used which has at least one porous molding of a polymer.

An ultrasonic transducer is described for use in a fluid medium. The ultrasonic transducer includes at least one piezoelectric transducer element and at least one matching element for promoting an oscillation injection between the piezoelectric transducer element and the fluid medium. The ultrasonic transducer also includes a housing (), the piezoelectric transducer element being inserted in the housing. The housing has at least one opening facing the fluid medium, the matching element being inserted at least partially into the opening. A flow meter for use in a flowing fluid medium includes at least one ultrasonic transducer and at least one measuring section having at least one flow pipe through which a fluid medium flows in a main direction of flow. The ultrasonic transducer is equipped to emit ultrasonic signals essentially parallel to the main direction of flow into the measuring section. The ultrasonic transducer is separated from the flow pipe by at least one thermal decoupling element. The thermal decoupling element is equipped to reduce heat transfer from the flow pipe to the ultrasonic transducer.

A method for manufacturing an ultrasonic transducer for use in a fluid medium is described. The ultrasonic transducer includes at least one transducer core having at least one acoustic-electric transducer element. The ultrasonic transducer furthermore includes at least one housing which at least partially surrounds the transducer core and which has at least one opening facing the fluid medium. In the method, at least one sealing film is stretched and connected to the housing in the stretched state in such a way that the sealing film at least partially seals the opening.

An ultrasonic transducer for use in a fluid medium includes at least one transducer core having at least one acoustic/electric transducer element. The ultrasonic transducer furthermore includes at least one decoupling element which is configured to reduce a structure-borne noise coupling between the transducer core and a housing. The decoupling element includes at least one porous plastic material, in particular a foamed plastic material. The porous plastic material includes at least one thermosetting polymer and/or at least one thermoplastic.

To determine air mass flows, especially for controlling internal combustion engines, a hot-film air-mass sensor is provided, which may be used especially for sensing air mass flows in the intake tract of an internal combustion engine. The hot-film air-mass sensor has a sensor chip having a sensor frame and a sensor diaphragm having at least one heating element and at least two temperature sensors. Furthermore, the hot-film air-mass sensor has a chip carrier for mounting the sensor chip, as well as at least one additional heating element. The sensor chip is able to be heated up using the at least one additional heating element, which is inserted into the chip carrier. Compared to the usual devices, the hot-film air-mass sensor has a lower susceptibility to contamination, especially by oil films.
