A method for forming a clamping device comprising of a swiveling body made of plastic, a plain bearing bushing mounted radially inside the plastic swiveling body, a rolling bearing for mounting a clamping roll arranged eccentrically to the bearing bushing, the edges of the plain bearing bushing being wound out of a strip, and joined to each other under intrinsic tension in the area of the butt joint; and, wherein, the lateral surface of the plain bearing bushing and the bore surface of the rolling bearing function as parts of a mold for the injection-molding of the swiveling body and consisting of the steps of placing the rolling bearing assembly and a plain bearing bushing in a mold half in eccentric relation to one another, placing a second mold half over the plain bearing bushing and rolling bearing configured to form ring-shaped projections to hold rolling bearing in a predetermined axial position relating to the bearing bushing, and injecting a plastic material with the mold closed to form the swivel body.

Belt tensioner device and method for making same

A support body used in a tensioning device includes a support element and a bottom plate. The support element is attached to the bottom plate in a radially and axially form-fitting and fixed manner through use of a plastic element that is molded into place by extrusion. The plastic element engages a groove formed in the outer surface of the support element and also engages through holes formed in the bottom plate.

Support body for tensioning device

An arrangement for fixing a tubular element, such as a shaft, that is provided with a bore and a flange in position with respect to plate element involves the use of a ball that pressed into the bore in the tubular element. To achieve a simple fixation that is secure in both axial directions, the plate element is fixed on one side by the flange of the tubular element and on the other side by the bulge that is created through insertion of the ball into the bore in the tubular element. The ball has a greater diameter than that of the bore in the tubular element so that insertion of the ball into the bore causes the tubular element to become enlarged, thus forming the bulge.

Arrangement and method for fixing tubular element in a hole in a plate

A tensioning device is provided with an adjusting element that is adapted to be affixed to the tensioning device after the tension spring therein has been tensioned. The tension can be adjusted to a desired work point after the tensioning element has been mounted on a motor frame or the like.

Liquid pump

A method for adjusting the tension of a drive belt wherein a tensioning device is pretensioned, e.g., after manufacturing at the plant, with a force corresponding to the force desired for subsequent operation. At this position, calibration markings are formed which can be checked during subsequent adjustments. After being mounted, the drive belt is tensioned until the markings line up.

Precalibration of drive belt tension

A tensioning device for drive belts includes a pin pivotable about an axis and having an eccentric surface on which a cam is pivotally mounted. A roller adapted to engage a belt is rotatably mounted on the cam. The cam pivots in reaction to forces on a spring acting between the cam and pin. The spring may be preloaded to a specific operating point by rotation of the pin. Markings or projections acting as stops facilitate adjustment of the preloading of the spring.

Spring adjustable tensioning device

Pulley for driving the shaft of a water pump, especially a pump for the cooling system of an internal combustion engine, the shaft being designed to be integral with a pulley body carrying the rim of the pulley, characterized in that the rim (15, 25, 31, 37) is designed as a sleeve and is attached to the pulley body (13, 22, 29, 39) in a form-locking or friction-locking manner.

Pulley for drive shaft for a water pump and method for making the same

In a pre-mounted tensioning device the fastening bolt is covered by the idler wheel. The fastening bolt is serviced through a recess provided in the wheel surface. A pre-mounted unit is created through the insertion of a fastening bolt whose head is pushed by spring elements against the wheel surface, thus preventing the idler wheel from turning and forcing the recess to coincide with the fastening bolt.

Premounted tensioning device

Two springs inserted in series, which press a tension roller against a drive belt, are provided in a tension device for a drive belt. The tension spring essentially effects adjustment of the tension roller during assembly and after that effectively is inoperative. The working spring is active during operation and within a limited range of adjustment of the tension roller. The tensions of the two springs are designed so that during assembly equilibrium of forces exists at a middle working point within the path of adjustment. These features result in a simple and precise adjustment during assembly.

Tension device for drive belt

In a swivel bearing for a braking device the fixed machine part is provided with a flange which has friction surfaces for damping the swivel motion. A flange sleeve made of sheet metal axially and radially surrounds a flange which adjoins the front side of a sleeve section belonging to the swivel arm. The resulting annular space contains, besides the flange, an axially acting spring washer. The flange sleeve itself may optionally have an axial spring action. The flange sleeve is secured axially and against torsion at the sleeve section by means of a turned edge or similar means. The result is a compact arrangement which does not easily disassemble, even in an unmounted condition.

Swivel bearing for braking devices

A ring-shaped machine part of relatively hard material with an essentially cylindrical seating surface which has at least one ring-shaped milled section on which a machine part of relatively soft material with a corresponding seating surface can be seated coaxially in a form-locking manner. The milled section is provided on at least one axial end of the hard machine part and extends, starting from the cylindrical seating surface, to the end surface.

Ring-shaped machine part

A tensioning mechanism for drive belts which consists of a support arm, a rotating tensioning roll mounted on the arm, and a pivot bearing on the support arm a certain distance away from the tensioning roll. The tensioning mechanism is attached together with a mounting plate by a fastener to a machine block. A spring urges the tensioning roll away from the mounting plate and toward the drive belt. In the area of the pivot bearing, the mounting plate has, in the axial direction of the bearing, a fork-shaped cross section with shank sections which support the pivot bearing on both sides, radially and axially, by way of the fastener.

Tensioning device for drive belt assemblies

A tension roller has a rolling bearing supported by a multipart support which is swivable about an eccentrically arranged mounting bolt. A rolling sleeve for a belt is arranged on the outer ring of the bearing. The support includes two side parts which abut the side surfaces of the bearing inner ring, thereby preventing axial movement. A central body is provided with respect to which the side parts are fixedly arranged. The central body is adapted to provide radial support for the bearing inner ring.

Tension roller

A tension-adjusting device for a driving belt comprising a tension roller and having an engagement arrangement provided between a support of the tension roller and a machine frame for enabling stepwise swiveling movement about a partially disengaged mounting bolt. The axis of swivel is radially displaced from the rolling axis of the tension roller. The engagement arrangement comprises a projection formed on the support radially displaced from the axis of swivel and a plurality of depressions formed in the machine frame and arranged at regular intervals along an arc defined by the path of travel of the projection during swiveling, whereby the projection is engageable with each depression, thereby defining a corresponding step in a range of adjustment of the tension of the driving belt.
