A device () for mounting an electric motor (), in particular a fan motor, includes an essentially pot-shaped receptacle housing ()&#x2014;functioning as motor housing ()&#x2014;with a receiving opening () into which at least part of the electric motor () extends. A holding flange () is attached to the receptacle housing () for mounting the motor housing () to a carrier element (), e.g., a motor vehicle heater system and/or air conditioner. A mechanism for immobilizing the electric motor () radially and axially in the motor housing () is included. The receptacle housing () includes at least one resilient-elastic holding element () for axial immobilization.

An overload protection for electric motors, includes a one-piece suppression choke in which the connecting point to be broken is produced by means of at least one connecting point between the connection lug of the motor and a respective connecting element of the suppression choke, wherein the connection lug exerts an adjustable mechanical stress on the connecting point, thus reliably assuring a break when the softening temperature of the solder of the breaking point is reached.

A drive unit for a radial blower has an electric motor including a driven shaft with a bearing for said driven shaft, and a motor housing provided with bearing pins which coaxially project at an end side of the motor housing and surrounds the bearing, a housing which receives the electric motor and has holders engaged in the bearing pins, at least one damping element composed of an elastic material and inserted between one of the bearing pins and one of the holders to radially and axially support the electric motor, the damping element being composed of a plurality of roller bodies having radially oriented body axes, the roller bodies being offset relative to one another and connected with one another with substantially constant distances there between.
