The invention relates to a rectangular panel intended for lining a substrate, which panel comprises a base element comprising a decorative design on the visible surface thereof remote from the substrate. The decorative design depicts a plurality of strips shaped as parallelograms, one pair of parallelogram sides in each case forming a portion of the long side of the panel while the two other sides of the parallelogram extend obliquely to the longitudinal direction of the panel. According to the invention, at least two strips have a strip width that is different from one another.

The present invention relates to a facing panel, on the long side surfaces of which there are connecting or locking elements () that are different or which complement each other along the two parallel long side edges (') of the facing panel (&#x2032;) so that the long side edges (&#x2032;) of two facing panels () with different locking elements can be connected to one another. On the visible surface () of the facing panel (&#x2032;) there is a single stripe () that is parallel to and spaced apart from one of the two long side edges (&#x2032;); the color of said stripe () is darker than the color of the remaining visible surface, one and the same connecting or locking element () being formed along the long-side edge () of the facing panel (&#x2032;) to which the stripe () runs parallel or to which it is close, one and the same connecting or locking element () being formed on the opposite long-side edge (&#x2032;), this being complementary to the connecting or locking element () or lockable thereto.

Facing panel

The invention relates to a cladding panel having at least two pairs of side edges lying substantially opposite one another. The cladding panel includes a coupling mechanism structured and arranged on at least one of the at least two pairs of side edges, and including a groove and a tongue extending along respective side edges of the at least one pair.
