The application relates to an organic electroluminescent device which contains 2,5 diaminoterephthalic acid derivatives of formula 1as emitter substances in one or several emitter layers in a pure or doped manner. The ring A is a triple unsaturated benzene ring wherein Rand Rare equal to zero or ring A is a double unsaturated ring respectively provided with a double bond in the 1,2 position and 4,5-position, and wherein Ris a nitrile radical &#x2014;CN or a radical C(&#x2550;X)&#x2014;XR; Ris a nitrile radical &#x2014;CN or a radical &#x2014;C(&#x2550;X)&#x2014;XR, Xand Xare oxygen, sulphur or imino, Xand Xare oxygen, sulphur or optionally substituted amino, Rto R, Rand Rare H, C1&#x2013;C20-alkyl, aryl, heteroaryl, Rand Rcan also be halogen, nitro, cyanogen or amino, Rto R, R&#x2013;R, Rand Rcan also be trifluoromethyl or pentafluorophenyl, wherein certain radicals can form a saturated or unsaturated ring. The novel devices are characterized by narrow emission bands, low driver voltages, high photometric efficiency and high thermal stability within a broad spectral range. 

Organic electroluminescent device based on 2,5-diaminoterephthalic acid derivatives

The invention relates to an organic electroluminescent device which contains 2,5-diaminoterephthalic acid derivatives of formula 1a as emitter substances in one or several emitter layers in a pure or doped manner. The ring A is a triple unsaturated benzene ring wherein Rand Rare zero or ring A is a double unsaturated ring respectively provided with a double bond in the 1,2 position and 4,5 position, and wherein Ris a nitrile radical &#x2014;CN or a radical C(&#x2550;X)&#x2014;XR, Ris a nitrile radical &#x2014;CN or a radical &#x2014;C(&#x2550;X)&#x2014;XR, Xand Xare oxygen, sulfur or imino, Xand Xare oxygen, sulfur or optionally substituted amino, R&#x2013;R, Rand Rare H, C1&#x2013;20-alkyl, aryl, heteroaryl, Rand Rcan be halogen, nitro, cyanogen or amino, R&#x2013;R, R&#x2013;R, Rand Rcan be trifluoromethyl or pentafluorophenyl, and wherein certain radicals can form a saturated or unsaturated ring. The devices are characterized by narrow emission bands, low driver voltages, high photometric efficiency and high thermal stability within a broad spectral range 

The invention concerns an electro-luminescent device in which the luminescent layer contains a compound of general formula I as doping agent or as luminescent compound, whereby the radicals Rto Rare identical or are different, and mean hydrogen, straight chain or branched C-Calkyl, aralkyl, aryl or substituted aryl; Rand Rand/or Rand Rand/or Rand Rand/or Rand Rand/or Rand Rand/or Rand Rcan form an alicyclic, heterocyclic or aromatic ring; Rcan furthermore be H, OH, OR, N,N-di-(C-C) alkylamino, acetylamino or halogen; Rand Rtogether can form an alicyclic or heterocyclic ring; Aand Aare identical or different and are &#x2014;CN, &#x2014;NOor &#x2014;COOR; X is &#x2014;CH, &#x2014;CRor N; and Y is O, &#x2014;NH, &#x2014;NR, S or Se. The doping agents together luminesce predominately red with very good quantum efficiency together with the luminescent compound as a function of concentration.

Organic red electro-luminescent device including a heterocyclic emitter

The invention relates to an electroluminescent device, in which the luminescent layer contains a luminescent compound and a compound of the general formula I as doping agent, wherein B is an unsaturated carbocyclic or heterocyclic 4-8-link ring, which can also contain an alicyclic bridge, the rings D and E are five- or six-link rings, which each can contain one more hetero-atom N, O and S, the radicals R are one or more substituents H or straight-chain or branched C-C-alkyl, X and Y are carbon or nitrogen, R; Rand Rare H or straight-chain or branched C-C-alkyl, Rand Rare hydrogen, straight-chain or branched C-C-alkyl, hydroxy, &#x2014;OR, &#x2014;COOR, N,N-dialkylamino, acetylamino or halogen, wherein Ris hydrogen, or straight-chain or branched C-C-alkyl, Rand Ror Rand Rand/or Rand Rtogether can form an alicyclic, heterocyclic or aromatic ring, and Aand A, which can be the same or different, are cyan, nitro or &#x2014;COOR. The compounds I are partly new. Together with the luminescent compound, the doping agents have a red or white color, depending on the concentration, with excellent quantum efficiency.
