In an embodiment a LED chip insert for a printed circuit board includes a lead frame in which a number of electrically conductive strings with respective ends are formed by punching, the strings having support surfaces which are configured for mounting on the printed circuit board and which form a common plane, wherein the lead frame has a region formed as a recess with respect to the ends, an injection molded frame including an electrically insulating material and annularly surrounding a surface of the lead frame exposed within the region formed as the recess facing the ends of the strings, and thereby effecting an overall trough-like structure; and at least one LED chip which is placed in the region formed as the recess and has a first electrical contact terminal and a second electrical contact terminal, the first electrical contact terminal being electrically conductively connected to a first one of the strings and the second electrical contact terminal being electrically conductively connected to a second one of the strings.

LED chip insert, lighting device, lighting module, and method of manufacturing the lighting device

A lighting device may include a semiconductor light source module, an optical unit, and a common support for the semiconductor light source module and the optical unit. The optical unit is mounted on a front side of the support and has at least one dowel, which extends into a precisely fitting hole in the semiconductor light source module. The semiconductor light source module rests on a rear side of the support. The at least one dowel projects through an aperture in the support and extends into the precisely fitting hole in the semiconductor light source module. The at least one dowel forms a shoulder, which rests on a supporting surface of the semiconductor light source module that rests on the rear side of the support.

Lighting device

A motor vehicle headlight element is specified which has at least one light-emitting diode and at least one control apparatus. The control apparatus is suitable for processing a signal which is dependent on a measurement variable and for applying a current, corresponding to the signal, to the light-emitting diode. The control apparatus and the light-emitting diode are arranged on a common mount.

Disclosed are a welding aid for a spiral-wound filament of a lamp and a lamp comprising such a welding aid. The spiral-wound filament has a spiral-wound filament body and at least one spiral-wound filament tail. The welding aid is arranged at a distance d from the spiral-wound filament body and is designed to connect the at least one spiral-wound filament tail to a current-conducting support, the distance d being defined in accordance with a power P at which the lamp is operated.

Disclosed is a lamp, particularly for a vehicle headlight, comprising two spiral-wound filaments which are retained by three feeders within a bulb that is inserted into a base. The feeders are arranged on top of one another when the lamp is adequately oriented. A tail of the first spiral-wound filament is connected to a dimming cap, said tail being located at a distance from the base, while a tail of the second spiral-wound filament is connected to the central feeder, said tail being close to the base. The second filament tail that faces away and is located at a distance from the base is connected to the upper feeder. According to the invention, the lower feeder is connected to the dimming cap by means of an end, some sections of which are angled away from a longitudinal axis of the lamp.

The invention relates to a lamp base comprising a plastic base part () that is provided with electric connections () for supplying power to at least one luminous means () of the lamp that is surrounded by the lamp vessel (). The electric connections () comprise contact sections () for connecting to power supply lines () of the at least one luminous means (), that protrude from the lamp vessel (), and the lamp base is equipped with a sealing element () for covering the contact sections (), said sealing element being fixed to the plastic base part () by a detent connection (). Said detent connection is preferably concealed. Said lamp base can be used, for example, in a motor vehicle headlight.

The invention relates to a dipping cap comprising a filament for a dual-filament lamp. The dimension between an outlet of an outgoing section of the filament, on the side of the base, and the point on the outgoing section of the filament, arranged opposite the outgoing section of the filament on the side of the base and welded to the dipping cap, measures more than approximately 5.2 mm and less than 9.7 mm, and the dimension between the outlet of the outgoing section of the filament, on the side of the base, and the front surface of the dipping cap, which is adjacent to the outgoing section of the filament, welded to the dipping cap, measures more than approximately 5.9 mm and less than 11.9 mm.

Disclosed is a lamp, particularly a halogen incandescent lamp, comprising a bulb that is provided with a pinch seal which is inserted into a base by means of an attachment ring. The attachment ring has a receiving section within which the pinch seal is clampingly fastened by means of attachment ring brackets that are supported on support surfaces. To fulfil a daylight driving function, the second filament () is designed to produce an electrical output that is lower by a factor of 2.5 to 4 than the electrical output of the first filament () when operating with a standard operating voltage and is designed in such a way that it can be operated with an operating voltage that is lower than the standard operating voltage in order to produce a dimmed position light function.

The invention relates to a lamp base with a plastic base part which has electrical connections for the power supply of at least one lighting device of the lamp, the lighting device being enclosed by a lamp vessel and the electrical connections being configured by metal pins. The first ends of these pins project laterally, perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the lamp base, from the plastic base part in order to establish electrical contact with the lamp socket, and the second ends are adapted to connect a power supply wire for the at least one lighting device which wire is to the outside of the lamp vessel. The invention is characterized in that the plastic base part has a recess on a lower face of the plastic base part facing away from the lamp vessel, the two ends of the metal pins being disposed in the recess.
