Active otoplastics () with integrated earpieces () are to be acoustically optimized. There is provision here for forming a sound outlet () into the otoplastic in accordance with acoustic conditions. If the sound outlet () has the form of an exponential horn, this results in advantages for supply of high tones. The earpiece () can be secured with the aid of an adapter () into the otoplastic () so that it can be exchanged.

Ear insert for hearing aids

Pocket hearing aids are to be designed to be more comfortable. To this end there is provision on one hand for a wireless communication connection to be established between the microphone part and the earpiece part. To this end the microphone device of the pocket hearing aid has an appropriate electronics section () and an antenna (), which can simultaneously be used as a clip. In order on the other hand to be able to dispense with feeding in external signals over a cable connection, the microphone device further features an adapter connector () with which for example it can be plugged in directly to a training device, a stereo device or a mobile telephone.

In order to improve the directional effect in a hearing device system with a hearing aid device worn behind the left ear and a hearing aid device worn behind the right ear, the hearing aid devices are to be fashioned side-specific. Furthermore, each hearing aid device has at least three sound entrance ports that are arranged substantially along a straight line. When the hearing aid devices are worn, these straight lines are turned toward the straight-ahead viewing direction of a hearing device user (in contrast to symmetrically-fashioned hearing aid devices) due to the particular fashioning of the hearing aid devices. A directional effect thus is achieved by the natural formation of the pinna.

A programmable hearing aid has functional parts provided in the housing, such as a microphone, an amplifier circuit, an earphone, a current source, and a socket with electrical contacts, into which a plug of an external programming unit can be inserted. In addition, the hearing aid comprises an audio signal processing unit, so that during the programming of the hearing aid the audio signal processing unit can be simultaneously adjusted.
