Cosmetic pad

The pad, of round or polygonal shape, has two compressed outer surfaces, and an entirely or nearly uncompressed body. The more highly compressed the surfaces, the less permeable the pad becomes to liquids and substances having the consistency of a salve. The pads are suitable for applying and/or absorbing liquid or semi-liquid materials in cosmetics, medicine end numerous fields of technology.

Pad for applying liquid or semi-solid material

A flexible and elongated composite material which is intended to be placed on a flat surface of an at least essentially rigid and also elongated composite material including a flat composite material which is designed to be placed on the rigid object. The composite material of the flexible object has a supporting layer. A stabilization layer is assigned to that one side of the supporting layer which is intended to face the rigid object. The stabilization layer is designed to give the composite material a necessary rigidity. Grooves are in at least one of the surfaces of the composite material. An adhesive agent is applied to certain points or areas of that surface of the composite material which is intended to be placed on the flat surface of the rigid object.

The insole contains an absorbent layer (1) which is arranged on a stabilization layer (2). The stabilization layer (2) is made of a fibrous and sealable material, the fibers running predominantly in the longitudinal direction of the insole. On the absorbent layer (1), there is a covering layer (10) which is likewise made of a sealable material. Depressions (20) are provided, the side walls (15) of which are formed by continuations (111, 112) of the material (11, 12) of the covering layer (10). The edges (13) of these side walls (15) are connected rigidly to the stabilization layer (2) so that, between the neighboring depressions (20), there are bridges (25) made from the material of the covering layer (10), which reinforce that section (18) of the stabilization layer (2) lying below. With the given and minimal thickness, the insole is remarkably rigid and durable.

Sanitary pad

A compress for dressing wounds contains a depot layer (1) for storing liquids. A guiding layer (2) is assigned to the side of the depot layer (1) which faces the front side of the compress, which guiding layer is constructed in such a manner that the secretion which reaches it can spread out predominantly along said layer (2), before it reaches the depot layer (1). In order to achieve this effect, channels (3) are formed in the surface of the guiding layer (2) which faces the front side of the compress. Said channels (3) extend in the direction of the surface of the guiding layer (2). The two layers (1, 2) are arranged between a surface ply (10) and a lower sealing layer (15), the edges (16, 17) of which are bonded. Liquids which reach the surface layer spread out rapidly and evenly over the entire surface of the compress.
