This invention relates to an electrochemical sensor (), comprising a base element (), which is made of electrically insulating material and has a planar surface (), and a pair of conductors (), which are attached to said planar surface () of the base element (), wherein the two conductors () of the pair are connected by at least one wire-shaped electrochemical working electrode (). The invention further related to a sensor array (), which has several previously described sensors (), and to a method for coating a working electrode () of the previously described sensor ().

Electrochemical sensor

The invention includes a method and array for replicating and analyzing one or a plurality of different target sequences in nucleic acid samples. The different reactions for replicating the target sequences occur simultaneously on an array with selectively heatable array elements with their reaction surfaces, some of which have been modified differently, and in the sample solution disposed thereabove. The target sequences are analyzed using molecular detection on reaction surfaces of said array that have been modified with probe strands. The target strands are replicated and analyzed simultaneously, successively, or alternately.

Method and array for the replication and analysis of nucleic acids

The invention relates to a method of labelling and analysing nucleic acids. More specifically, the invention relates to a method of analysing nucleic acids, which comprises contacting the nucleic acids to be detected, which are in the form of single-stranded nucleic acid strands partially (i.e. over a part of the total length of the nucleic acid strands) hybridized with protective strands, with substances which specifically react with nucleobases of the single-stranded sections of the nucleic acid strands, and which are capable of subsequently participating in a reversible redox reaction in electroanalytical processes known to the skilled worker.

Method for labelling and analysing nucleic acids

A sensor apparatus for an electrochemical measuring device. The apparatus has at least one electrode, which can be heated using a heating current in the form of an alternating current, and a first and a second connection for the supply line for the heating current. The electrochemical measuring device is connected to the electrode by a third connection. In this case, the apparatus has the third connection connected to the electrode by a bridge circuit, which is also connected to the first and second connections. There also is provided a method for carrying out electrochemical measurements at elevated temperature. The sensor apparatus and the method for carrying out electrochemical measurements enable electrochemical measurements with little interference and directly heated electrodes in conjunction with a simplified design of the electrodes.
