A method is provided for operating a textile machine, with a multiple number of adjacent work stations having a respective spinning unit with a spinning device and/or one winding device and handling elements for piecing a thread or for connecting two thread ends. If production is interrupted, a thread end on the bobbin side is provided to a defined receiving position at the work station. For piecing the thread or for connecting the thread ends, the thread end on the bobbin is cut to length by the work station work elements, received from the receiving position, prepared for piecing or for connecting and pieced up or connected. A thread end wound on the bobbin is sought out by means of a thread seeking device deliverable to multiple work stations of the textile machine, and the thread end is subsequently moved into the receiving position at the work station, from which it is received by the work station work element of the work station, in particular by a handling element of its own work station. A corresponding textile machine is also provided.

A false twist device for an open-end spinning device to introduce a false twist in a yarn has a largely tubular carcass and several false twist edges arranged behind one another in the yarn draw-off direction and inclined by an angle in the carcass with regard to the yarn draw-off direction. The false twist edges protrude in such a way into the interior of the tubular carcass that the yarn experiences a deflection on each one of the false twist edges. The several false twist edges are arranged offset in such a way in the carcass in circumferential direction that the yarn simultaneously experiences a spatial deflection compared to its regular yarn draw-off direction through the successive deflections on the several false twist edges.

False twist device for an open-end spinning device

A spinning point of a spinning machine includes a spinning unit, a drawing-off device for the yarn downstream of the spinning unit and a yarn storage downstream of the drawing-off device for the intermediate storage of a section of yarn. The yarn storage has a sensor system for monitoring the filling level of the yarn storage (). The spinning point includes a winding device for the yarn downstream of the yarn storage, along with a return unit, with the assistance of which an end of the yarn found within the yarn storage after a yarn break is returned into the area of the spinning point. The winding device () is stopped in the case of a yarn break in such a manner that, after the stop, an end section of the yarn remains within the yarn storage (). Subsequent to this, a part of the yarn is separated with the assistance of a yarn separation unit internal to the spinning point, and that the end of the yarn that newly arises in this manner is returned with the assistance of the return unit internal to the spinning point into the area of the spinning point, and that a piecing process is then carried out.

Spinning point of a spinning machine and method for the operation of the same

The invention relates to a method of operation for an air jet spinning machine, which is characterized in that the spinning process is interrupted when a yarn fault is detected, and subsequent to the interruption of the spinning process, a piecing process is initiated which is at least partly carried out by the spinning station and in which a number of yarn process and handling devices directly assigned to the spinning station are applied. Furthermore, an air jet spinning machine is proposed which permits such a piecing method.

Air jet spinning machine and method of operation thereof

An overend take-off crosswound bobbin and a method for its production are designed in such a way that the density of the finished crosswound bobbin is increased and the run-off characteristics during further processing are optimized. For this purpose, in one variant parallel windings are introduced at intervals. In another variant, when the bobbin diameter is small the yarn is wound on at a smaller pitch angle than for a larger diameter. Furthermore, a traversing stroke which is reduced by comparison with the bobbin width is displaced along the bobbin width.

Crosswound bobbin and associated production method

A process and an arrangement for re-starting a previously interrupted spinning process in a spinning arrangement is provided. The arrangement includes a drafting unit which can be shut down and also an airjet unit including a vacuum chamber. For the purpose of removing an initially inhomogeneous fiber stream, a staple fiber strand, delivered by the re-operating drafting unit, is temporarily suctioned as waste via a deflecting device after it has left the drafting unit. Only then, when a homogeneous fiber stream has formed, is the staple fiber strand joined with a thread which is transported through the airjet unit. The inhomogeneous fiber stream is removed with the aid of the low pressure in the vacuum chamber.

Process and arrangement for restarting a previously interrupted spinning process

A process for preparing a piecing operation in an air jet spinning arrangement is described. The air jet spinning arrangement comprises a drafting device, whose main drafting zone is bordered on its entry side by an apron roller pair and on its exit side by a delivery roller pair. The apron roller pair is connected to a first drive, the delivery roller pair to a second drive. When the spinning process is interrupted, the delivery of a closed staple fiber strand is stopped in the main drafting zone and a new starting end of the staple fiber strand is created. This new starting end is to be pieced together with an end of a thread already spun. To create a new starting end of the staple fiber strand suitable for piecing, the apron roller pair and the delivery roller pair are each controlled separately when the spinning process is interrupted and are shut down one after the other, in such a way that in the main drafting zone a new starting end of the staple fiber strand is formed.

Process for preparing a piecing operation in an air jet spinning arrangement

A twin unit has two drafting devices for drafting fiber strands and is applicable in a spinning machine. The twin unit includes a common housing for the two drivable drafting devices, whereby the housing is detachably mounted in a machine frame. The drafting devices include a number of drivable bottom rollers and are arranged essentially mirror-symmetrical to one another. Each bottom roller has an area which drafts the fiber strand and is characterized in that the bottom roller has two bearing points. The two bearing points of each bottom roller are arranged one on either side of the area which drafts the fiber strand. In one variation, at least two opposite bottom rollers may form a bottom roller pair, in which the bearing points facing to the plane of symmetry of the twin unit are taken up in a joint bearing take-up. In addition, a top roller in the form of a twin pressure roller may be assigned to a bottom roller pair.

An arrangement for manufacturing a spun thread from a staple fiber mass includes a feed channel having an outlet opening for feeding the fiber mass, and a yarn withdrawal channel having an inlet opening. In order to generate a rotating current around the entry opening of the yarn withdrawal channel, a vortex chamber is provided with compressed air nozzles. An air evacuation duct surrounds, essentially ring-like, a stationary, spindle-shaped component which forms the yarn withdrawal channel. The feed channel extends in a meandering manner and includes fiber guiding surfaces, which are designed in the form of deflecting edges, between which the staple fiber mass is without support.

Arrangement for producing a spun thread

A yarn withdrawal device for open-end spinning arrangements has a yarn withdrawal nozzle and a balloon-breaking insert which extends the axial channel of the yarn withdrawal nozzle. The yarn withdrawal nozzle has a curved contact surface for deflecting a yarn to be withdrawn and simultaneously rotating the yarn in a crank-like manner, which contact surface graduates from a front surface into the axial channel. The balloon-breaking insert has an inner wall which is provided with raised areas and/or recesses, with which the yarn comes into contact. The contact surface of the yarn withdrawal nozzle is a smooth steel surface. The raised areas and/or the recesses of the balloon breaking insert are such that a yarn hairiness in the range of 3 mm in length is achievable. In addition, values in relation to the spinning stability, tear resistance and evenness can be achieved which are usual in the case of a notched contact surface of standard yarn withdrawal nozzles without a balloon-breaking insert.

Yarn withdrawal device for open-end spinning arrangements and method of making yarn using same

A double-apron drafting unit for spinning machines has a delivery roller pair and an apron pair arranged upstream therefrom. The apron pair guides a fiber strand in the area of a delivery nipping line, with which it forms a wedge-shaped gap. Devices are provided for keeping air currents, which circulate with the delivery roller pair, away from the area of the delivery nipping line, which devices are located outside of the wedge-shaped gap point formed by the delivery nipping line and the apron pair. The devices are, however, located in direct proximity to the delivery roller pair and the apron pair.

The invention concerns a cleaning apparatus for the cleaning of a spin rotor of a spinning station leaning head which can be insertably presented to the spin rotor and on which cleaning head are placed at least two scraper elements. In accord with the invention, the at least two scraper elements are pneumatically extendable, wherein the position of the two scraper elements are so secured on the outer circumference of the cleaning head, that the sum of the contact forces which are exerted from the scraper element in the radial direction onto the rotor is zero, or practically zero.

Cleaning device for the cleaning of a spin rotor and scraper element

An arrangement for sealing an opening of a rotor housing in which a vacuum prevails, through which opening a shaft of a spinning rotor, supported outside of the rotor housing, projects. The arrangement has free floating sealing element arranged towards the opening and forming at least two sealing gaps with the spinning rotor. A first sealing gap is located between the sealing element and the shaft, a second sealing gap is located between the sealing element and a collar of the spinning rotor which borders the shaft. The sealing element can form an additional third sealing element with the back wall of the spinning rotor.

Arrangement for sealing an opening of a rotor housing

An arrangement for an open-end rotor spinning comprises a spinning rotor which is radially supported with a rotatable shaft in a wedge-shaped gap of two supporting disc pairs and axially in a step bearing housing. The shaft can be pulled out from its support from the operator's side of the arrangement and inserted again into the support. For the purpose of cleaning the gap between the back supporting disc pair and the front face side of the step bearing housing, a tube is provided having an entry opening at the operator's side of the arrangement and leading to the area of the step bearing housing and aligned against the shaft with an opening.

Arrangement for open-end rotor spinning

In an arrangement for application in open-end rotor spinning, an opening roller is housed in a swivel housing. The swivel housing can, together with the assembled opening roller, be removed from the arrangement for open-end rotor spinning when the machine is in operation. The opening roller, due to its mass, continues to rotate after it has been separated from the tangential belt which drives it. A locking device is provided which prevents the removal of the swivel housing when the opening roller is rotating. This results in the opening roller being at a standstill when the swivel housing is removed. The risk of injury caused by a still rotating opening roller is eliminated.
