Device for filling and closing packs for liquids

A method is provided for heating and transferring a substantially flat workpiece made of a deep drawable plastic material including the steps of enclosing at least a substantial portion of the workpiece between first and second opposing carrier plates such that a gas-tight seal may be formed by one of the carrier plates about the substantial portion of the workpiece and supplying hot gases through a gas distribution conduit associated with the first carrier plate while withdrawing hot gases through a gas distribution conduit associated with the second carrier plate such that the workpiece is heated and transferred to the second carrier plate. The workpiece is then transferred to a third carrier plate or a deep-drawing device.

Method for heating and molding platelike parts

A pourer device of synthetic plastic material for attachment to a hole in a package for flowable contents includes a bottom part and a closure part that are connected to one another by a hinge. At least one of the bottom part and the closure part is movable between an open position and a closed position. A pourer orifice is formed in the bottom part and a synthetic plastic film is provided between the closure part and the bottom part, over the orifice. A method for producing such a pourer device is also described.

Pourer device for a flowable media package and a method of producing

A device for heating plastic plates using contact heat and hot gases which are supplied to the plastic plate to be heated by carrier plates is provided. Therein, two carrier plates are movable relative to each other vertically with respect to their common contact surface. Gas distribution conduits also open in the contact surface. In order that the plastic plates which are to be heated can be removed properly from the carrier plates, so that damage to the heating device is avoided, each contact surface of both carrier plates is surrounded by a frame-like, closed outer edge without mouth openings for the gas distributions conduits.

Device for heating platelike parts

A method of producing a package for fluids made of a synthetic plastic material, in which a strip of the material is shaped to form two rows of tub-shaped containers which are filled, sealed, pairs of them being folded together to form a single container, and welded closed into a single container. In a particular preferred embodiment, two plastic webs are first brought together continuously and sealed along outer edges, to form a tube, with the tube then being filled from above, with thereafter transverse seals provided between pairs of adjoining tub-shaped containers.

Method of making a molded plastic package

Described is a pouring device of plastic material for fitting to the hole of a flowing medium pack, wherein the pouring device (10) has a portion (20) which is openable by means of a tearing line (25). So that packs of widely different configurations and consisting of a wide range of different materials can be produced in such a way as to be sealed and easily openable, the pouring device (10) has at least a bottom portion (20) and a closure portion (21) which are pivotally movably connected together by way of a hinge (22), wherein the tearing line (25) is disposed in the bottom portion (20). The process for the production of such a pouring device is characterised in that a series of blanks which are arranged in succession in a flat condition and which are in line-wise contact with each other are formed from an endless web of plastic material which can be subjected to deep drawing, and rolled up to form a coil, and the blanks are separated off prior to fitting to the hole in the pack.

Pouring device for container for flowable material

A pack for flowable contents, the pack having side walls which together from a tube, two end walls, one of which is an essentially flat bottom wall and the other of which is an essentially flat top wall and having a closable hole wherein the pack consists of plastic material, characterized in that a seam standing out from the side walls of the pack encompasses the pack, and lies in a plane which is disposed so that it is parallel to the longitudinal central axis of the tube, that the seam is arranged so that it extends in a depression in the region of the bottom and top wall, and that a part of the depression in the top wall surrounds the pouring device. The pack may further include a closable pouring device for the hole, which pouring device is disposed within an outer coutour of an end wall.

Pack with peripheral seam for flowable contents

An apparatus for deep drawing a bowl from a blank of deep-drawable plastic material is provided comprising deep drawing tools, and cooperating jaws including an outside heating jaw and a forward feed heating jaw. The deep drawing tools and cooperating jaws are movable relative to each other to advance a blank of deep-drawable material for preheating, forming, and deep drawing a bowl open at one end therefrom. The outside heating jaw includes at least one outside suction plate to retain the blank, and intermittently moves in a first direction into and out of cooperating relationship with the forward feed heating jaw. The deep drawing tool also intermittently moves parallel to the first direction into and out of cooperating relationship with the forward feed heating jaw. The forward feed heating jaw includes a plurality of main suction plates secured to a heatable carrier to retain and heat the blank as it advances thereon. The forward feed heating jaw is intermittently moved in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction to alternately position different ones of the main suction plates into cooperating relationship with the outside suction plate of the outside heating jaw.

Apparatus for deep drawing an open bowl

Described is a package for flowable media and having tube-like side walls (1, 1'), bottom and top walls (6, 6') and a closable pourer (7); all parts of the pacakage consists of synthetic plastics material. For more competitively priced production, ease of stacking and a reliable sealing-tight and yet easily opened closure, according to the invention two tub-shaped parts (I, II), each forming an entire side wall (3'), two oppositely disposed and adjacent half side wall parts (1'), a half bottom part and a half upper wall part (6') with a half pourer device (7 to 9), are in each case sealed and connected to each other individually by a synthetic plastics film which rests on and projects outwardly beyond the rim (13) in the form of a web (15), and in that the cylindrical edge (8) of the pourer device (7) extends beyond the web (15) of the synthetic plastics film (14) onto both tub-shaped parts (I, II) and in that the thickness of the synthetic plastics film is 0.01 to 0.5 times and preferably substantially 0.1 times the thickness of the tub-shaped parts.

Improved construction of molded plastic containers

A method of manufacturing a package (1) which is filled with a flowable medium and which comprises a tube (3), a bottom and a top wall (2) of shapeable synthetic plastics material in which the package (1) formed by shaping and the action of heat is filled, sealed and carried away is described. In order to provide an environmentally friendly manufacturing method in which a package can be produced by deep-drawing and without any substantial amount of waste material, it is according to the invention envisaged that two prepared blanks (4), each of which takes the form of a flat sheet, should be heated at a distance from each other (in III-V) and then brought together along a frame-like strip (7 to 11) and, accompanied by (at V) deep-drawing of the middle zone (12) within the frame-like strip (10), welded together to form the package space, an aperture (13) being provided in a top wall (2), the package (1) which is thus formed and which is fluid-tight with the exception of the aperture zone (3) being then cooled, conveyed onwardly (18 to 20), filled (in position XI) and sealed by an opening member (14) which masks the aperture (13).

In order no longer to have to tear the lid upwards or even bend it and in order to be able to provide such a tearing-open device for a package, it is according to the invention proposed that at a distance (a) from the first tear line (5) and at least along a first portion (5) thereof, a second tear line (4) be so disposed to extend in the lid (1') that a tear-off strip (6) can be formed between the two tear lines (4, 5).

Apparatus for the separable attachment of two synthetic plastics parts

Described is a liquid pack comprising a tube (1) with a bottom and a top (7) disposed at the ends thereof, wherein the top (7) comprises thermoplastic material, is injection-moulded on the tube (1) and has a pouring means (8). The bottom is quadrangular and in the form of a folded closure formed from the folded-over tube (1) of the pack. A handle (11) which is connected to the top (7) is disposed in such a way that the handle (11, 17) together with the top (7) is arranged within the parallelepipedic outside contour of the pack. In order to provide a better handle in a simpler configuration with a large number of packs per unit of time, the invention provides that the tube (1) is formed from a plastics foil in which there are formed two mutually oppositely disposed gripping recesses (11) which, starting from the top (7), extend into the middle region (18) of the pack, and the cross-section of the pack in its upper portion with the gripping recesses (11) substantially corresponds to the shape of the top (7), the periphery of which is substantially as long as the periphery of the pack in the vicinity of its bottom.
