A wheel hub bearing unit of a motor vehicle includes at least one roller bearing for mounting a wheel hub. The roller bearing contains an outer ring which, on an outer peripheral face, is at least partially equipped with a first threaded element and at least one inner ring, and a wheel carrier with a mounting hole. A wall of the mounting hole is at least partially equipped with a second threaded element that is provided for mechanical engagement with the first threaded element. The outer ring and the wheel carrier each have at least one contact face, which are provided to come into mutual mechanical contact when the roller bearing is mounted in the wheel carrier.

A bearing cap having a top wall, a side wall extending away from the top wall, a peripheral wall extending away from the top wall forming a receiver, a bottom wall closes the receiver at an axial end facing the top wall, and at least one opening is formed by the peripheral wall to drain moisture from the receiver.

A wheel stud includes a fixing segment, which has a first external thread, and a receiving segment, which has a second external thread. Here, the first external thread runs opposite in direction to the second external thread. More particularly, the wheel stud is configured to be connected to a wheel hub through the fixing segment, where the wheel hub includes at least one receiver bore having an internal thread corresponding to the first external thread.
