A housing having at least one valve seat for at least one flap, which is supported so it can rotate on a drive shaft. The drive shaft is guided on at least one side through the housing, a sleeve, through which the drive shaft is rotatably guided, being disposed fixed in place on the inside of the housing in this area. The sleeve has a first area, which faces the flap and encloses the drive shaft with a first slight play. Furthermore, the sleeve has a second area, which faces away from said flap and has a diameter expansion in comparison to the first area and which, on the front side thereof facing away from the flap encloses the drive shaft with a second slight play. Furthermore, the valve is a gas recirculation valve of a motor vehicle.

Valve having a sleeve to prevent contamination and condensation

A valve having a housing with a valve seat for a two-piece flap which is rotatably mounted on a drive shaft. An annular piston seal and an adjacent cover disk are disposed between the first part and the second part of the two-piece flap so as to revolve there-around. The diameter of the cover disk is smaller than the diameter of the annular piston seal which is embodied as a metal ring that is provided with a gap. The invention also relates to the use of said valve as a gas recirculation valve.

Two-part flap valve

The direct drive for a throttle valve shaft in a throttle valve manifold comprises a coil and a rotor arranged directly adjacent to the coil. The rotor is made from a steel ring inside which a first inner magnetic shell and a second inner magnetic shell lie opposite each other. The steel ring has a first outer magnetic shell and a second outer magnetic shell lying opposite each other on the outside thereof. The steel ring is connected to the throttle valve shaft on the end thereof facing the throttle valve. A sensor for position recognition of the throttle valve is arranged in the middle of that region of the end of the steel ring facing away from the throttle valve.

Direct electromagnetic drive for a throttle valve shaft in a throttle valve connector

In a throttle body with a Torquer drive, the rotor of the drive motor is seated directly on the shaft ( ) of the throttle butterfly ( ). In order to achieve permanent axial retention of the shaft in combination with simplicity of assembly, the rotor is press-fitted on to the shaft ( ), a retaining washer ( ) is provided between the throttle butterfly ( ) and the rotor, the retaining washer being fixed axially on the shaft ( ) or on a throttle housing ( ) and engaging with a defined axial play in a gap ( ) on the other element, and the two axial, housing-side contact surfaces of the retaining washer ( ) being formed by a fastening plate ( ) screwed to the housing ( ) and by a stop ( ) provided on the housing ( ). The narrow axial retention device allows rotor-side arrangement for simpler assembly in combination with a short and rigid throttle-butterfly shaft ( ).

Throttle body

A load adjustment device has a throttle valve 9 which determines the output power of an internal combustion engine and is connected, fixed for rotation, with a throttle-valve shaft 33 mounted in the throttle-valve housing 40. The throttle valve shaft 33 has a mechanical linkage on the accelerator-pedal side, and a setting-member-like linkage side with which a setting member is operatively coupled for displacing the throttle valve 9 in idle operation. A setting member 29 is provided on its outer end with a circular-arc segment 31 which is developed as permanent magnet and cooperates with a magnet 32 which can be excited with current as desired. In this way, an electric motor and gearing can be dispensed with.
