A method for testing an optical investigation system, with an imaging device, a video camera and a light source for optical investigation of an object including a reference surface with predetermined optical properties being illuminated with illuminating light from a light source. An image of the reference surface is recorded by the imaging device and the video camera. An operating condition of the video camera that prevails during the recording of the image is recorded. The functionality or another property of the investigation system is determined on the basis of the recorded operating condition.

Method for testing an optical investigation system

A method for testing system with a light source and an imaging device for the optic investigation of an object in remitted light and fluorescent light, the imaging device positioned with respect to a reference surface within a hollow space of a test apparatus, the reference surface having an indicator area with a wavelength-dependent optical property, where the optical property essentially varies between a first focal point of a first product of a first predetermined illumination spectrum and a first predetermined transmission spectrum and a second focal point of a second product of a second predetermined illumination spectrum and a second predetermined transmission spectrum. The method includes illuminating the reference surface with illuminating light from the light source and determining which illumination spectrum and which transmission spectrum are present in an observation beam path on recording the image.

Method and apparatus for testing an optical investigation system with a light source and an imaging system

A test apparatus for an optical investigation system, with an imaging device and a light source for optical investigation of an object in remitted light and/or fluorescent light includes a housing with a hollow space and an aperture for inserting a distal end of the imaging device into the hollow space, a reference surface with predetermined optical properties in the hollow space, at least either for remission of illuminating light directed onto the reference surface or for emission of fluorescent light, and a positioning device to hold the imaging device of the distal end of the imaging device at a predetermined position in relation to the reference surface.

Test apparatus for an optical investigation system

A testing or setting device for a PDD or PDT system or for training on such a system, which includes a lighting system, is provided with a housing in which the PDD or PDT system can be at least partially accommodated. In an imaging method and a system for determining a physical or chemical condition of tissue in a human or animal body using ultrasound at least one ultrasonic pulse in the diagnostic frequency and power range is injected into the tissue. The ultrasonic echo pulse reflected by the tissue is received and processed in ultrasonographic trace processing means. Further, at least one light beam is generated and split up into at least one measuring light beam and at least one reference light beam. The measuring light beam is injected along the same beam axis along which the ultrasonic pulse is injected into the tissue. The measuring light beam scattered back by the tissue is brought into an interference relationship with the reference light beam and is processed in optical image processing means.
