A method for startup, control and monitoring of power supply components of at least one system utilizes a control system for power supply components, such as electrical power supplies, electrical safety devices or metering units, of the at least one system, and by which an energy supply of control and/or computer units of the at least one system is monitored and controlled, wherein the control system includes a central server unit to which a database for storing specific data and/or parameters of respective power supply components is assigned, includes client units for communication and for transmitting the specific data and/or parameters from and to the power supply components and includes local server units for communication which are permanently assigned to the respective power supply components, where a separate client unit can be generated for each power supply component connected and identified via a communication network.

A power supply unit, an electrically operated system and a method for operating an electrical system, wherein the power supply unit connects through a basic supply voltage or a buffer voltage, which is provided by an energy store unit, where to perform a controlled switch-on process of the electrical loads, a switch-on delay time is specified, after the expiration of which the basic supply voltage or the buffer voltage is connected through at the output of the power supply unit, and where to perform a controlled switch-on process of the electrical loads, a voltage is output only when a charge level of the energy store unit is greater than or equal to a threshold value of the energy store charge level such that switch-on management for power supplies that ensures absolutely safe interruption-free and thus trouble-free start-up of a plurality of electrical loads is achieved.

A method for monitoring, control and shutdown of control and/or computer units of a system, wherein the control and/or computer units are supplied with power via power supply components, where a control application is installed on each control and/or computer unit, and connection to a control system is subsequently established via a communication network, a detection call is used to identify power supply components and all control applications installed on the control and/or computer units, the power supply components are then assigned identified control applications installed on the control and/or computer units supplied by a particular power supply component, assignments between power supply components and identified control applications are saved centrally or locally, power supply components being monitored for event alarms, and upon an event alarm within a power supply component, the assigned control application initiates a definable action, or a shutdown, on the control and/or computer unit.

Method for monitoring, control and graceful shutdown of control and/or computer units

An electrically operated installation and method has a plurality of electrical loads, in which the event of a failure of a basic supply voltage the electrical loads are supplied by a backup voltage, wherein a power supply unit exchanges data with several loads via a field bus, the loads each have a software module for communication via the field bus, a software module of a load is configured as a master and the software modules of the other loads are configured as slaves, the power supply unit as a communication partner of the master controls a regulated shutdown procedure of the loads, in the event of a failure of the basic supply voltage the power supply unit reports this to the master via the field bus, and the master and the software modules of the loads perform the shutdown procedure in configurable synchronization stages.
