A semiconductor or integrated circuit block including a sense node and a converter circuit, in which the sense node develops a low frequency electrical parameter that is constant or varies at a frequency below a predetermined frequency level, and in which the converter circuit converts the low frequency electrical parameter into an alternating electrical parameter having a frequency at or above the predetermined frequency level sufficient to modulate a laser beam focused within a laser probe area of the converter circuit. The converter may include a ring oscillator, a switch circuit controlled by a clock enable signal, a capacitor having a charge rate based on the low frequency electrical parameter, etc. The laser probe area has a frequency level based on a level of the low frequency electrical parameter to modulate the reflected laser beam for measurement of the electrical parameter by a laser voltage probe test system.

A wall is located at least partly on the substantially parallel ridge surface. The ridge is configured to reduce a flow of the first fluid along an inner surface of the wall.

A method for fabricating an electrowetting display may include depositing a sacrificial layer on a support plate, etching portions of the sacrificial layer to form liquid duct forms on the support plate, depositing a photoresist layer on the liquid duct forms and the support plate, etching portions of the photoresist layer to form a spacer grid, and removing the liquid duct forms to form liquid ducts between the support plate and the portions of the spacer grid.

A display device includes a first support plate and an opposing second support plate. At least a portion of a wall on the first support plate is associated with a pixel within a pixel region. A method for fabricating electronic displays comprises placing a fluoropolymer layer on a support plate for the electronic display device and etching the fluoropolymer layer. Etching changes a surface of the fluoropolymer layer so that the fluoropolymer layer becomes less hydrophobic. Pixel walls are formed on the hydrophilic surface of the fluoropolymer layer to form an array of electrowetting display elements. The fluoropolymer layer is subsequently immersed in a vapor or a liquid that is heated to heat the surface of the fluoropolymer layer. Such immersion allows the surface of the fluoropolymer layer to reflow and to become more hydrophobic.
