A sunshade assembly includes a flexible sunscreen and two opposed longitudinal guides for guiding longitudinal edges of the sunscreen. A rotatable winding shaft winds and unwinds the sunscreen. An operating beam is connected to the opposite transversal edge of the sunscreen. Two drive cables are connected to opposite ends of the operating beam. Two positioning members move with the operating beam. Each positioning member extends into a corresponding one of the opposed longitudinal guides. Each of the opposed longitudinal edges of the sunscreen near the opposite transversal edge is provided with a wing folded inward in a direction away from the respective positioning member, so that the wing and the respective positioning member are on opposite sides of the sunscreen. The wing accessible to the respective positioning member from the opposite side of the flexible sunscreen in order to engage the respective positioning member.

A rollo assembly for use in a vehicle comprises a rollo screen having opposite forward and rearward sides and two opposite lateral sides, a winding tube for the rollo screen at the rearward side, an operating beam connected to the forward side and having two outer ends, and two longitudinally extending guides for guiding respective ones of the outer ends of the operating beam and respective ones of the lateral sides of the rollo screen. Said lateral sides are provided with retention members cooperating with corresponding parts of the guides for retaining said lateral sides in said guides. The rollo screen is provided with light transmitting and emitting members which have an end portion extending at least up to a first one of the lateral sides of the rollo screen. At least one elongate light bar extends longitudinally along said guide to transmit light into said end portion.

Rollo assembly and open roof construction for a vehicle provided therewith

An open roof construction for a vehicle comprises a roof panel that is tiltable and can be moved in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle. Two movable cover assemblies cover a free space which in a tilted position of the roof panel is formed between corresponding ones of panel side edges and opening side edges. Each cover assembly comprises three rods, a first rod in a stationary position in the vicinity of a corresponding opening side edge, a second rod having a forward end pivotally connected to the stationary roof close to the corresponding opening side edge and a rearward end slidably connected to the corresponding panel side edge and a third rod positioned inward from the second rod and is biased for an inward movement. A flexible cover member extends at least from the first rod to the second rod and from the second rod to the third rod.
