A method and apparatus for providing a temporary identity module to a device () in a communication network. An RO Server () receives a request for an identity module () from the device (). It then obtains an identity module and generates an encryption key (S, S). The encryption key is partitioned into a plurality of slices such that no slice comprises the whole encryption key (S). Each slice is sent (S, S) to respective further devices () accessible by the server () such that no single further device () receives sufficient slices to reconstruct the encryption key. A location key is generated (S) that identifies each slice and the further device () to which each slice has been sent. The identity module is encrypted using the encryption key (S) and sent to the device () along with the location key (S). The device () can subsequently use the location key to obtain the slices and reconstruct the encryption key.

Method and apparatus for provisioning a temporary identity module using a key-sharing scheme

Methods, a user equipment, a server host, a client application, computer program products, and a server computer program. These methods and components can be utilized by a location based service. One method regards triggering of events in the user equipment based on a position of the user equipment, comprising the steps of: &#x2014;looking up, in a server database at least one network cell-identity associated with a predefined geographical area, &#x2014;sending the network cell-identity to the user equipment, &#x2014;storing the network cell-identity in a database in the user equipment, &#x2014;obtaining a current network cell-identity to which the user equipment currently is connected, &#x2014;comparing in the user equipment the current network cell-identity with network cell-identities stored in the database, and &#x2014;retrieving content associated with the current network cell-identity if the current network cell identity is among the network cell-identities in the database.

Method of triggering location based events in a user equipment

Matching systems are provided that are configured to determine if a first entity received from a client device of a first user matches with at least one other entity of a plurality of entities indexed in an index in which each entity is associated with one or more index points. The system includes an application server adapted for communication with a matching engine and the client device. The matching engine is configured to index the first entity by associating the first entity with one or more index points in the index; and search for other entities matching the first entity among the plurality of entities indexed in the index by searching for other entities associated with at least one of the index points with which the first entity is associated. The matching system is adapted to initiate the search for other entities matching the first entity upon occurrence of a match triggering event and interpret the reception of the first entity as a match triggering event such that search is initiated upon reception thereof.
