A device that stores a low molecular gas, such as hydrogen (H), under high pressure includes having an inner shell and at least one outer sleeve surrounding the inner shell. The region between the inner shell and the outer sleeve is connected via at least one valve with a backflow prevention capability to the region surrounded by the inner shell. The valve is thereby formed so that low molecular gas which has diffused through the inner shell can flow back into the inner shell when there are suitable pressure conditions.

In a high-pressure gas tank for motor vehicles and a method for filling a high-pressure gas tank which has an interior space for holding gas and a filling region with an inflow opening which leads to the interior space, the filling region is formed so as to direct a gas jet which enters through the inflow opening at an angle &#x3c6; upwardly with respect to a central horizontal longitudinal axis of the interior space toward a top wall of the tank where the gas jet is deflected toward the end of the tank opposite the filling region.

High-pressure gas tank and method of filling a high-pressure gas tank

A compressed-gas tank system has at least two gas vessels, the gas vessels having a base part and a removal part and openings which are assigned to the removal parts. The removal parts of the gas vessels are directly connected to a connecting rail, without any pipelines therebetween. The openings are in communication with a gas passage which runs inside the connecting rail, the connecting rail being assigned a shut-off valve which is common to all the gas vessels. The gas vessels are mechanically connected to a supporting rail, the supporting rail and the connecting rail forming a holding frame for the gas vessels.
