Chimeric proteins that induce effects directed against viruses

The invention relates to the use of Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) in a preferably-injectable pharmaceutical composition which is administered by means of infiltration into and around chronic cutaneous ischaemic lesions in order to prevent diabetic foot amputation. This invention relates to a medicine for humans, and particularly to a pharmaceutical combination comprising Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) and Growth Hormone secretagogue hexapeptide (GHRP) for use in preventing tissue damage due to blood flow suppression by enhancing tissue repair following ischemic damage.
