The electrical connector comprises a base A having a body (1) with a front tubular skirt (2) in which is held at least one ball that can be radially displaced and a pin having a body (4) that can be inserted in the skirt and having at least one imprint for receiving the ball. The pin also has a locking ring (6) repelled axially on the body towards [from?] a front stop position and a ball driver ring (7) radially interposed between the body of the pin and the locking ring, having a sliding keying with the locking ring and having an inner diameter such that it holds the ball inside when it [the ring] covers it [the ball]. A sleeve (24) has a sliding keying with the pin body. A first elastic means, interposed between the pin body and the sleeve, pushes the sleeve towards a ratcheted position with the ball driver ring. A second elastic means, interposed between the sleeve and the ball driver ring, tends to move them apart from one another.

A female electrical contact comprises at least one flexible blade extending in a longitudinal direction and elastically deformable transversely to this longitudinal direction. It includes a contact member comprising the flexible blade or blades, a rear portion attached to the flexible blade or blades and an electrically conductive contact support. The rear part of the contact member and the contact support have complementary holding members which cooperate mechanically so that rotation of the contact member in at least one direction about its rear portion offsets its longitudinal axis relative to a nominal direction without significantly deforming the flexible blade or blades.

An electrical connector portion fixable in a floating manner to a support (2) and including a body (1) that is polygonal in cross-section, with links (5, 13, 20) imparting six degrees of freedom to the body (1) relative to the support, and with a resilient return spring (12, 19, 22) for returning the body (1) to an equilibrium position relative to each degree of freedom. A first link arrangement (5) between the body (1) and the support (2) comprises a first link structure (6, 7) in rotation conferring degree of freedom in rotation about an axis (Y) perpendicular one to the coupling direction, and link structure (9, 10, 11) in translation conferring one degree of freedom in translation along an axis (Z) parallel to the coupling direction.

A device is provided for supporting two electric connector elements (3, 11), associated respectively with two bases (1, 9) which can be mechanically assembled together in a removable way, these bases being likely to show mutual positioning discrepancies (shift and/or slant) at the time when they are assembled or separated as well as variable mutual positioning discrepancies (spacing and/or slant) in their assembled position at least in their zones supporting the two connector elements comprising: a first support (2) supporting a connector element (3) and fixed without play on a base (1); a second support (10) supporting the other connector element (11) and fixed to the other base (9) which is movable with respect to the base (1); and mechanical control means (4-8, 12-15) provided on the two supports and adapted for providing automatically correct coupling of the two connector elements and locking of this coupling when the two bases are assembled together, then mechanical separation of the second connector element and the second base so as to allow the breathing movements of the bases and, on the other hand, the uncoupling of the two connector elements at the time of mechanical separation of the two bases.
