The device comprises a first belt portion which extends between a winder mounted on the door of the vehicle and a first belt support mounted on the upper rear part of the door, and a second belt portion forming a cross-belt which extends between the belt support and an anchoring point located substantially in the central part of the vehicle. The second belt portion is extended, in passing through a second belt support constituting the anchoring point, by a third belt portion which constitutes an abdominal belt. An end part of the third belt portion is connected to the first belt portion so as to cause this end part to be raised when the belt is extended upon opening the door.

Automatically positioned safety belt for an automobile vehicle

The device comprises a belt portion passing round a support member carried by an arm which is pivotally mounted on a support located on the side of the seat opposed to the adjacent door of the vehicle. The arm is movable to a roughly vertical clearing position when the door is open. The arm is connected by a cable to a lever which is pivotally mounted on a lateral part of the body of the vehicle and is operatively connected to the door.

Passive safety belt for an automobile vehicle

The safety seat comprises two parts and side walls. One seat part defines a seating, at least a rear part of the side walls and an arrangement for fixing the safety seat to a vehicle seat. The other seat part comprises a band and at least a front part of the side walls. A joint line of separation between the two seat parts has the shape of an L in the substantially vertical branch of which the energy absorbing and locking devices are located on each side of the safety seat whereas the substantially horizontal branch of the L constitutes an arrangement for guiding the two seat parts relative to each other.

Safety seat for a child

Energy absorbing means interconnect two separable seat parts of a seat for a child. One of the seat parts comprises the seating, means for attaching the seat to a normal vehicle seat and a rear part of side walls of the child's seat. The other seat part comprises a band and a front part of the side walls. The energy absorbing means are disposed on each side of the child's seat between the two parts of the side walls. The energy absorbing means are adapted to the light weight of the child.
