Progressive toggling of radio frequency band in a relay node

A telecommunications network, especially an LTE type network, is adapted to a change in configuration. The telecommunications network includes at least a first transmission device, of base station or transmission relay type, and a second transmission device, of base station or transmission relay type. There is no radio link in existence between the first transmission device and the second transmission device before the change in configuration. The process for change includes: detecting a change in the configuration of the telecommunications network; allocating radio resources in the communications frames of the first communications element for determination of the transmission quality with the second communications element; and establishing a radio link between the first transmission device and the second transmission device if the determined transmission quality is advantageous. The process is implemented by a telecommunications networking infrastructure and by a transmission device.

Adaptation of a telecommunications network to changes in configuration

A method for setting a direct mode communication channel of a group of terminals in a wide band radiocommunication system, the setting of the channel being assisted by at least one base station at which terminals of the group are recorded, the method including transmitting a setting request to the base station by a terminal of the group recorded at said base station, setting a direct mode communication channel by the base station by allocating free resource blocks, transmitting a setting message by the base station to the terminals, and accessing direct mode communication channel by each of said terminals for directly communicating with the other terminals of the group.

Direct mode communication in a wideband radio communication system

A first broadband network divided into sectors and a second narrowband network have collocated cells and a common wide frequency band. The interference produced by the first network on the second network is reduced for a carrier to interference ratio threshold allowable at the reception in the second network. For example, a base station (BS) in a given cell (C) of the first network attenuates by an attenuation parameter the emission power of each subcarrier which is adjacent to a carrier of one of the groups allocated to preselected cells (C) of the second network in a sector (S) of the given cell and on levels (Lto L) starting from the given cell (C). The attenuation parameter is low for a level close to the given cell.

Matching subcarrier power in a broadband network collocated with a narrowband network

The invention concerns a method for scheduling frequency channels implemented in a device for a narrowband radiocommunication system sharing with a broadband radiocommunication system, each comprising a narrowband base station and a broadband base station, and the same frequency band, the frequency band being in part divided into a given number of frequency blocks, each comprising a given number of carrier frequencies to optionally be allocated to the narrowband base stations. The device comprises a means for associating carrier frequencies with the narrowband base stations and a means for distributing over the frequency band the carrier frequencies associated with the narrowband base stations such that each frequency block comprises at least two distinct groups of carrier frequencies, each associated with a different base station, the two groups of carrier frequencies being selected according to a distribution rule such that interference relating to the emission of the base stations associated with groups of carrier frequencies distributed in the same frequency block have a minimum interfered surface area.

Method for scheduling frequency channels

Radio blocs (BR) shared in a predetermined frequency band during a periodic radio frame (TR) between base stations (BS) are allocated to applications in base stations and mobile stations. Each radio block spreading on frequencies (C) of said band during a time slot (M&#x3b4;t) of the radio frame and can be associated with an uplink or a downlink. To meet quality-of-service parameters required by an application, a base station estimates occupation rates of the radio blocks during consecutive radio frames, and allocates to the application at least one radio block having an occupation rate less than a threshold and a periodicity expressed in period of frame and depending on the required quality-of-service parameters. The base station are autonomous for the radio block allocations.

Radio resource allocation method in a radio communication system

A method of management for operating a first system of communication of the broadband type communication system emitting over a first frequency range, and a second system of communication of the narrow band type communication system emitting over a second frequency range, the first system and the second system using all or part of a same frequency band, such common frequency band being called a crossover frequency band for both systems, the method including: embodying a scan operation from at least the crossover frequency band of the two systems using a scan device from the first communication system; identifying, after the scan operation, the frequency channels used by the second communication system; adapting the operating of the first communication system within the frequency channels identified as being used by the second communication system.

The invention relates to a relay node capable of managing the establishment of a fixed number of connections to detected neighboring relay nodes in order to form an ad hoc network with wide coverage. The relay node comprises a means for classifying the neighboring relay nodes according to a parameter, a means for selecting a fixed number of first classified neighboring relay nodes and means for establishing connections between the selected neighboring relay nodes and said relay node. A radio communications system comprising a plurality of cells, each containing a base station and mobile terminals. Said system is able to manage group communications between different mobile terminals, allocating during the establishment of a group communication for each cell an uplink channel contained in an uplink carrier frequency and a downlink channel contained in a downlink carrier frequency. A mobile terminal of a digital cellular radiocommunication system that is in the receiving phase in a group call while roaming in a current cell, indicates to a fixed network element of the system, a given destination cell out of a number N of cells adjacent to the current cell. The system uses a time and/or frequency division multiple access method, and any modulation method. The mobile terminal sends an identification sequence of the destination cell in a time slot of an inbound signaling channel which is a contention channel.
