A kitchen machine with a housing (1) and a bowl (9) which can be placed on the housing (1) and can be closed with a lid (33). A rotary tool (27) can be placed in the bowl (9) and can be driven by means of an electric motor (21) arranged in the housing (1). The kitchen machine is provided with a locking device (63) which locks the lid (33) during rotation of the tool (27) in order to prevent that a user of the kitchen machine can injure himself with the rotating tool (27). The locking device comprises a centrifugal member (65, 111) which cooperates with a safety member (105). The use of the centrifugal member (65, 111) achieves that the lid (33) is not released by the safety member (105) after switching-off of the electric motor (21) until the moment the tool (27) has come substantially to a standstill. It is prevented in this way that the user can injure himself with the tool (27) still running out under the influence of its mass inertia after switching-off of the electric motor (21).

Vacuum cleaning water separator for a vacuum cleaner including a receptacle (1) having a cover (2), and a closing mechanism (7) comprising a float operable valve (10) to seal-off a suction channel (8) when the receptacle is filled to a predetermined level, characterized in that the valve (10) is rotatably supported in the cover (2), the closing mechanism (6) includes a lever (12) which is rotatably supported in the cover and is coupled to the float (9), the valve being locked by the lever (12) in an open state at an extreme position of the float, travel of the float (9) unlocking the valve (10).

Vacuum cleaning water separator

A hair-grooming device comprises a hollow elongate holder having a comb or brush attachment fitted onto one end portion thereof. A high-voltage source is enclosed in the holder for ion-generation. An elongate conductive support is mounted in and insulated from the holder and electrically connected to the high-voltage source, such support extending parallel to and opposite the attachment. At least one row of electrodes extends outwardly from the support toward the holder. There is a slot-like opening in the holder adjacent the attachment for each row of electrodes, the electrodes in each row extending toward the corresponding opening for escape of the formed ions through such opening to the exterior of the holder.

Hair-grooming means

The disclosure relates to a shaving apparatus having a shear plate with hair entry apertures and a drivable cutting unit with at least one cutting element provided with a cutting edge. Owing to the presence of the shear plate a shaving apparatus of this type does not allow the hairs to be shaved as closely to the skin as a shaving apparatus without such a shear plate, where the cutting element is in direct contact with the skin. In order to eliminate this drawback a construction is proposed in which the cutting element is provided with a hair pulling element which leads in the direction of the driving and which is immobile relative to the cutting element.
