There is disclosed herein a coffee machine () including: a body (); a steam wand (), to froth milk, attached to the body (); and a cleaning mechanism (), the cleaning mechanism () including: a stem () having a first end portion () attached to the body (), and a second end portion () extending longitudinally away from the first end portion (); and a supply of water under pressure to deliver water to the second end portion (), wherein water under pressure is delivered to the second end portion () to produce at least one water jet directed at the steam wand ().

Coffee machine

A temperature sensing assembly for a milk frothing apparatus. The assembly including: a temperature sensor element and a resilient support element that receives and biases the temperature sensor element towards thermal communication with the underside of a vessel; wherein the assembly is located towards the end of a protruding portion that extends from the body of the a milk frothing apparatus; and wherein an upper surface of the temperature sensor assembly is adapted to promote liquid movement into a drip tray reservoir. The apparatus may include: a steam source; an air source coupled to an air injector module for mixing the air and steam; a user interface for receiving input from a user; and wherein the apparatus is configurable by receiving input parameters through the user interface, whereby the parameters includes final milk temperature, and an indication of froth amount.

Milk frothing device

There is disclosed herein a frothing assembly () to froth milk in a container (). The assembly () includes: a body (); a motor () fixed to the body and having an output shaft () that is rotatably driven about a longitudinal axis () of the shaft (); a frothing device () rotatably driven by the shaft () and to be submerged in the milk in the container (); and a perforated member () at least partly surrounding the frothing device () and spaced from the frothing device () by a clearance (), wherein rotation of the frothing device () causes movement of milk in the clearance () and movement of milk through the perforated member () to be circulated back through the container () and the clearance () to cause frothing of the milk.

A drip filter coffee making device has a filter basket with a lid. The lid supports a water dispenser for wetting grounds in the filter basket. The basket is removable from a body of the device. The lid may have a dampened opening motion, biased into an open position by a spring.

Toaster

A toaster () having a side wall () with a reflective surface () to reflect radiant heat towards a toasting chamber (), and an external surface to which there is attached a sensor assembly (). The sensor assembly () provides a source beam to illuminate part of the product and receives a reflected beam that is received by a sensor, with the sensor providing a signal indicative of a property of the reflected beam and therefore a chromatic property of the product.
