A support system supports the two ends of a passenger-transportation device in a built structure. The support systemhas a swiveling support-point at a first end with a vertical swivel-axis. The second end contains a floating support-point for absorbing horizontal movements perpendicular to the swivel-axis. The floating support-point has at least one rolling element by means of which a sliding friction caused by the occurrence of horizontal movements in the floating support-point can be transformed into combined sliding-and-rolling friction or rolling friction.

Support for supporting a person conveying device on a structure

A balustrade support for an escalator or moving walk is located in a deflection area of the balustrade handrail. The support has a mounting region for mounting a handrail deflection wheel, a first fixing section for mounting the support to a framework of the escalator or moving walk, and a second fixing section for mounting the support to the balustrade. The rigidity of the support's mounting region for the deflection wheel is increased by the mounting of the support to the framework as well as to the balustrade.

Balustrade support for an escalator or a moving walkway

A conveyance device has two endless arrangements of tread steps, step plates or pallets driven in a transportation direction by a drive. Adjacent to a first longitudinal side of the first arrangement is a first balustrade with a handrail, and adjacent a second longitudinal side of the first arrangement is a second balustrade and handrail. The second arrangement is located parallel and next to the first arrangement and is also driven by the drive. The second balustrade is configured as a center balustrade between the two arrangements to be used by persons on both arrangements. A third balustrade and handrail is adjacent a second side of the second arrangement.

A lighting system for a moving walkway or escalator installation and a moving walkway or escalator installation with a lighting system is disclosed. The moving walkway or escalator installation comprises a plate belt or step belt and a balustrade. The lighting system comprises a light-permeable inner panelling of the balustrade which is formed by one or more mutually adjoining plates free of interruption as well as one or more lighting bodies which are mounted in corresponding sockets. The sockets are fastened in the interior of the balustrade to a mechanical structure. The inner panelling of the balustrade can be illuminated over a whole area by the lighting system.

An escalator construction has a framework, steps and a balustrade at both sides of the steps. The balustrade is fastened to balustrade posts. Clamps for profile tubes are provided at the framework and optionally also at the balustrade posts, U-profile members for receiving the profile tubes can be provided at the lower part of the framework Partition walls are fastened to both the inner and outer sides of the profile tubes. In order to cover the fasteners, the outer partition walls are fastened at least at its lower portion from an internal face, while the fasteners at the lower portion of the inner walls are covered by the balustrade. The fasteners for the upper portions of the partition walls may be covered by a cover profile member.

Escalator or moving walkway with partition walls

Underneath view paneling for an escalator or moving walkway has a respective bent-over portion at each of its lateral edges and is screw-connected at the bent-over portions to fastening blocks. The fastening blocks are in turn screw-connected to profile members connected to the escalator/moving walkway framework. The fastening blocks have an elongate hole for each fastening screw, allowing compensation for construction tolerances to be achieved. The fastening block screws are preferably screwed into a clamping plate disposed behind elongate holes of the profile member. The clamping plates are preferably parallelogram-shaped and are so constructed such that in one orientation they can pass through the elongate holes of the profile member, while when turned through about 90&deg; to a second orientation they cannot pass through the elongate holes. Side paneling for the escalator can be fastened to the underneath view paneling by means of clamping springs.
