A machine tool comprises a tool spindle which can be positioned in 3 axes and a pivot bridge pivotable about an A axis with a round table for mounting a workpiece pallet supporting a workpiece. Furthermore, in front of the pivot bridge, a mount is provided for a processed workpiece or workpiece to be processed located on a workpiece pallet. Between the mount and the pivot bridge a pallet changer is provided which can only perform a vertical displacement movement and a pivot movement about a vertical axis. Workpiece pallets are picked up and put down only during the vertical displacement movement of the pallet changer, or possibly by pivoting the pivot bridge about the A axis.

Machine tool

A machine tool has, on a machine bed, two stands which can be moved in the horizontal x- and z-direction, on which y-slides carrying tool spindles can be vertically moved. Arranged on one of the stands directly above a bridge projecting over its upper side is at least one tool magazine, with which a tool changer is associated for each stand. The drives for the y-slides are attached below the upper side of the stands to the stands.

A manufacturing plant comprises at least one conveyor for conveying works and at least one processing machine. In front of a processing machine, provision is made for a delivery device which comprises a rotary table on which at least one pivoted work grab is disposed. A pivoting drive is disposed on the rotary table, acting of the work grab for pivoting the work grab between a downward position of delivery and removal and an upward conveying position.

Manufacturing plant

A production installation comprises a loading transport means with a transport rail connecting processing machines. It also comprises workpiece grippers for supplying the processing machines with workpieces to be processed and for removing processed workpieces from the processing machines. The workpiece grippers can be pivoted about only one pivot axis between a lowered transfer position and a pivoted-up transport position. The processing machines also comprise a workpiece carriage which can be displaced transversely with respect to the direction of the transport rail for transport between the workpiece gripper and processing position on the processing machine.

Production installation

A machine tool for at least triaxially machining work pieces () comprises a work spindle () and a working area () before the work spindle (). Machine tool for processing work pieces on at least three axes

In a method for calibrating machine units in machine tools and robotic devices that perform a parallel-kinematic motion in a motion space, the position of the machine unit relative to a reference system is determined from the totality of the positions of all drives operating in parallel of the machine units, whereby each drive moves relative to the reference system a single drivetrain that is associated exclusively with the drive. The machine units can be calibrated using a robust and efficient iterative process that generates a kinematic transformation.

Method for calibrating of machine units located in machine tools or robotic devices

A machine tool for at least triaxial machining of work pieces comprises a column of the type of a casing with side walls. In an interior space, provision is made for a work spindle which projects into a working area and which is connected via couplers and hinges to a driving skid that is displaceably guided on each side wall straight in a y direction. The driving skids are displaceably guided on two guides which are spaced from each other in the z direction. Provided between the guides are linear motors, a first part of which is mounted on the driving skid and a second part on the side wall.

A machine tool comprises a rack, a horizontally displaceable x skid and a y skid that is vertically displaceable thereon. The skids are drivable by linear motors which are arranged on the front side of the rack and the face side of the x skid, respectively, and on the rear side of the x skid and the rear side of the y skid, respectively. A machine tool for triaxial machining of work pieces with a machine rack. Couplers run on slewable bearings and being adjustable in an X-Y plane. These couplers are joined with a hinge. The machine tool is equipped with a tool carrier arranged at one coupler. The tool carrier is provided with a skid independently movable in X-Y-plane. The machine tool is equipped with independent drives for adjustment of the couplers. The machine tool which distinguishes itself by a simple and compact structure as well as by high stiffness of the coupler system in that at least two couplers (,) are run on bearings at two skids (,) which are adjustable in rack-proof guides by the aid of one drive each. The guides are mainly arranged in parallel to each other and with the couplers&mdash;if viewed in the projection on a X-Y plane&mdash;lying between the guides.
