Disclosed is a hydrophobic coating material that includes a wax-based material and a polyethylene- or polypropylene-based polymer material. Also disclosed is a coated fertilizer composition that includes a fertilizer granule and the hydrophobic coating material coated on the fertilizer granule. Further disclosed is a method of manufacturing a coated fertilizer composition that includes the steps of providing a fertilizer granule and coating the fertilizer granule with the hydrophobic coating material.

Systems for preparation of a mark and authentication of a mark vis-a-vis a counterfeit mark. Emission spectra comprising intensity versus wavelength distributions are collected from a series of taggants. One or more taggants is selected from the collected emission data such that the spectra of the selected taggants are distinguishable. The selection is also based on a consideration of the emitted radiation of a substrate and a dispersive medium. The authentication system uses multivariate statistical analysis to calculate at least one measurement statistic of a mark to be authenticated and at least one statistical limit based on a series of training marks prepared by the preparation system. Authenticity of the mark is determined based on a comparison of the measurement statistic and the statistical limit.

Security films that are useful for pharmaceutical packaging. In particular, anti-counterfeiting security films having a luminescent composition on or in a fluoropolymer layer, which luminescent composition luminesces upon the application of ultraviolet radiation in the 200 nm to 300 nm range, in which the luminescent component is optionally and preferably not viewable to the unaided eye. The films are particularly useful for the formation of anti-counterfeiting blister packaging in compliance with FDA regulations.

Security taggants in adhesive plastic film laminate for pharmaceutical packaging

Presented is a cigar cap-cutting and ejection tool provided with a very sharp circular cutting edge susceptible of being pressed into the cap-end of a cigar to thereby define the configuration of the central cigar cap-end portion to be cut from and withdrawn from the cigar by the tool. Plunger members are provided in the tool manipulable from the end opposite the circular cutting edge for ejecting the cut central cap-end portion of cigar from within the tool.

A hand-held gravity feed spray bottle. The liquid reservoir which supplies the spray mechanism is situated so that it is above the spray and pump mechanism when held by a user. The reservoir is affixed so that its longitudinal axis is at an angle to that of the spray mechanism. The pump mechanism is a standard hand pump with a plunger reciprocating in a chamber. The reservoir includes a liquid feed tube and a pressure equalization tube. One-way check valves in each of these tubes ensures that there is no leakage from the reservoir.
