Children's ride-on vehicles are disclosed. In some embodiments, the vehicle may include first and second mechanical members, with the second mechanical member configured to move between a concealing position, in which the second mechanical member conceals a portion of the first mechanical member, and a revealing position, in which the second mechanical member does not conceal the portion of the first mechanical member. In some embodiments, a biasing member urges the second mechanical member toward the concealing position. In some embodiments, a user input device permits a child to lock the first mechanical member in one of a retracted position and an extended position.

A children's ride-on vehicle is disclosed. In some embodiments, the vehicle may include a body including at least one seat sized for a child; a plurality of wheels including at least one driven wheel; a battery-powered drive assembly configured to selectively drive the rotation of the at least one driven wheel; a mechanical assembly including a first mechanical member movably connected to the body and configured to move among a plurality of positions including a first position in which one or more portions of the first mechanical member are not visible, and a second position in which the one or more portions of the first mechanical member are visible; and at least one user input device positioned to receive inputs from a child sitting on the at least one seat, and configured to selectively move the first mechanical member between the first and second positions.

Children's ride-on vehicles having a drive assembly that is selectively configured between a plurality of drive configurations, such as responsive to user inputs via user input devices, and a ground detection system that is adapted to detect when at least one of a plurality of wheels loses contact with the ground surface. The ground detection system may be adapted to restrict the plurality of drive configurations responsive thereto. This restriction may be automatic responsive to loss of contact of the at least one of the plurality of wheels with the ground surface, and it may be made regardless, or independent, of user inputs that otherwise would select and/or enable one of the restricted drive configurations.

The blow-molded wheels may include a blow-molded wheel body that is configured to rotate about an axis and has a tread surface that extends circumferentially around the wheel body and may have a circumferential profile that is defined as the locus of points at which the radial distance from the axis to the tread surface is greatest at each position around the circumference of the tread surface. The radial distance from the axis to the circumferential profile may change from a first radius to a second radius that is larger than the first radius at a plurality of spaced-apart positions along the circumferential profile. The method for producing the blow-molded wheels may include providing a mold with pinch-off rings that have an opening configured to form the circumferential profile.

A pedal assembly for a children's ride-on vehicle and children's ride-on vehicles including the same. The pedal includes a pedal with a body having a foot engagement surface adapted to support a rider's foot. The pedal further includes a bore adapted to receive a crankshaft extending at least partially through the body of the pedal and an alignment cavity at least partially coextensive with the bore and having a first opening adapted to receive a fastener in an operable orientation relative to the crankshaft. The pedal also includes a retention structure adapted to retain the fastener within the alignment cavity when the pedal is removed from the crankshaft. In some embodiments, the vehicle includes a fastener-retaining structure adapted to retain fasteners other than on the pedals.

Adjustable hoop and method of using the same

A child support device that can be converted between a highchair configuration and a swing configuration. The support device includes a frame from which a U-shaped swing arm is rotably mounted. A child seat is located on the U-shaped arm such that it can be slid between a distal position at the bottom of the U-shaped swing arm (swing configuration) and a proximal position at the upper ends of the U-shaped swing arm (highchair configuration). When in the highchair configuration, a swing lock can be provided to rotably lock the U-shaped swing arm with respect to the frame such that the seat cannot swing. The swing lock can include a retractable post that can be extended to contact a portion of the frame to prevent rotation of the swing arm. An over rotation stop can also be provided to limit the angle of rotation through which the seat swings when in the swing configuration, and to work in conjunction with the retractable post to lock the swing arm in place when in the highchair configuration. A reversible softgoods device is also disclosed to provide padding for the child support. The softgoods device includes a first layer and second fluid resistant layer that can be selectively exposed from the child support device.

Convertible swing/highchair

A battery retaining system for a children's ride-on vehicle. The system includes a retaining member that is selectively movable between a first or nominal position in which the retaining member blocks removal of a battery assembly from the body of the vehicle, and a second position in which the retaining member does not block removal of the battery assembly. The battery retaining system also includes a biasing member coupled to the retaining member and configured to urge the retaining member from the second position toward the first position. In some embodiments, the battery retaining system is further adapted to retain portions of the vehicle other than the battery assembly.

Battery retaining system for children's ride-on vehicles

A children's ride-on vehicle with a reduced scale chassis having a seat configured to accommodate at least one child. The vehicle further includes a drive assembly, which includes one or more drive wheels and a battery powered motor assembly. The battery powered motor assembly includes a motor output and a torque attenuation system, which is configured to regulate the transmission of torque from the motor assembly to the one or more drive wheels. The torque attenuation system incorporates a force reducing mechanism adapted to receive a rotational input from the motor output and regulate the transmission of that rotational input to the one or more drive wheels. In some embodiments of the invention, the torque attenuation system is a self-contained system, and in some embodiments of the invention, the torque attenuation system is adapted to be retrofit on existing children's ride-on vehicles.

Children's ride-on vehicle with mechanical speed control

A child support device is disclosed that can be converted between a highchair configuration and a swing configuration. A battery retaining system for a children's ride-on vehicle. The battery retaining system also includes a biasing member coupled to the retaining member and configured to urge the retaining member from the second position toward the first position.

A seat recline mechanism for an infant swing is shown that provides adjustment of the inclination of the seat with respect to a single swing arm. The seat recline mechanism includes a pivot pin that is mounted in the lower end of the swing arm. The seat is pivotally mounted on the swing arm by the pivot pin. The seat can be secured in the reclined or upright position by spring-biased locking pins or protrusions extending out from sides of the swing arm, with the locking pins snapping into apertures located in one of two or more angular positions on a U-shaped sleeve protruding from the seat back. The seat can be converted between an upright position and an inclined position by depressing the spring-biased locking pins or buttons in order to disengage the swing arm from one angular position relative to the seat, thus allowing the seat to rotate about its pivot axis relative to the swing arm until the spring-biased buttons snap into apertures corresponding to a different angular position.

Children's reclineable swing seat

A battery powered walk behind floor burnishing unit (10). The unit includes a main frame (12) supported by wheel means (18, 20, 36), the main frame being capable of supporting a plurality of batteries (14). At least one of the wheels (18) may be driven. A burnisher subassembly (22) is mounted on the rear of the frame by a mounting assembly for movement through an from a raised inoperative position through an intermediate ready position to a lowered operative position. The burnisher subassembly includes a drive head (80) and a rotatable drive block (94), the drive block being capable of being rotated by a motor (24) mounted on the drive head. The mounting assembly includes two pairs of parallel links (126, 128) and biasing means (140, 142) which normally biases the subassembly (22) to the raised inoperative position. A vacuum apparatus includes an open cell burnishing pad (114) carried by the burnisher subassembly. The vacuum apparatus is capable of maintaining the burnisher subassembly (22) in contact with a floor during operation of the motor (24), and is also capable of moving the burnisher subassembly into contact with the floor when the motor is operated and the burnisher subassembly is in its ready or intermediate position. Operator controls (182, 184) are provided at the rear of the machine above the burnisher subassembly.
