An adjustable height flight comprising a flight assembly and a cam mechanism. The flight assembly includes a flight base operationally connected to a rotational endless conveyance member, an adjustable flight bar slidably connected to the flight base, and an adjustment mechanism for adjusting and setting said flight bar at a desired height. The cam mechanism includes a cam frame, an adjustable cam track connected to the frame and operationally contacting the flight adjustment mechanism, a cam track adjustment mechanism attached to the frame and operationally contacting the cam track, and an engagement mechanism for selectively engaging and disengaging said cam mechanism from said flight assembly. The cam mechanism can be either engaged or disengaged from operational contact with the flight assembly. The cam track adjustment mechanism adjusts the position of the cam track to force the adjustable flight bar to a desired vertical position. The flight bar normally travels in a vertically locked position. The adjustment mechanism of the flight assembly engages both the button cam and the cam track in such a manner that the button cam unlocks the flight bar while the cam track adjusts the vertical position of the flight bar through the adjustment mechanism. The flight bar is locked again when the flight assembly travels off of the button cam.

Adjustable height flight

A tape perforating head assembly for scoring a perforated tear line in a piece of packaging tape joining article carriers together includes a headpiece, a plurality of perforating blades supported on the headpiece parallel to and adjacent one another, each perforating blade having a series of serrated teeth constructed and arranged to score the perforated tear line in the packaging tape. Each perforating blade is supported on the headpiece for reciprocal movement with respect to one another into a normally extended position away from the headpiece, and into a retracted position on the headpiece. The tape perforating head assembly also includes a spring positioned within a bore in which a guide pin is received, a pair of guide pins, and a pair of bores being provided for each perforating blade. The tape perforating head assembly scores a perforated tear line in the packaging tape by moving the headpiece in timed relationship with the movement of the carrier along a path of travel extending through a packaging machine, moving the perforating blades into contact with the packaging tape, and scoring the perforated tear line in the packaging tape with at least one of the perforating blades as the carriers move along the path of travel.

Tape perforating head assembly and method

A continuous packaging sleever assembly and process for wrapping packaging sleeves about product groups. The assembly has a frame structure with a generally horizontal working surface, a transfer conveyor to move the product containers across the working surface, and horizontally movable flight bar structures connected to a continuous chain structure. The flight bar structures are constructed and arranged to be selectively movable in a generally perpendicular direction to the product transfer conveyor means and to separate the product containers into predetermined groups. A packaging sleeve transfer and placement structure is provided in synchronization with the flight bar structures for depositing flat packaging sleeves between adjacent flight bar structures and above the product groups. The flight bar structures simultaneously move the product groups and the individual sleeves thereon. Product group wrapping and closing structures are provided to fold and secure the packaging sleeves in a tight configuration about the product groups.

Packaging sleever assembly

A power driven socket holding ratchet wrench which has a socket made so that it has a central opening that may be used for receiving a long stud or member, which passes through the socket. The wrench acts much like a box end wrench. The wrench is made so that it can be relatively compact in axial height, that is, along the length of the sprocket and the frame is small in diameter relative to the socket size to permit it to fit into tight places. The power drive is capable of being positioned at an angle relative to the wrench head, and the wrench includes a unique ratcheting and quick release mechanism that facilitates the operation of the unit.

The invention provides a leak detection system for filled and sealed pliable containers. The system comprises a continuous squeezing conveyor, a line conveyor and high and low fill level container content detectors located at predetermined positions. The squeezing conveyor moves a stream of containers while placing a predetermined pressure on the containers through a predetermined distance. The line conveyor is disposed adjacent the outlet end of the squeezing conveyor. The line conveyor is synchronized for receiving and transporting the container stream. The high fill level detector is disposed adjacent the squeezing conveyor outlet end. The low fill level detector is disposed adjacent the line conveyor at a predetermined distance downstream the squeezing conveyor outlet end.

Leak detection system

An electric cord reel is designed for mounting adjacent the engine of an automobile that requires a plug-in, heater, in particular, and has a power driven retract mechanism operable by an electric switch from the automotive battery or other power source, and which upon completion of retraction will shut off the retracting motor. The cord can be manually pulled out to be plugged into a receptacle at a desired location.

A frame construction for snowmobiles which utilizes perimeter frame members for carrying the front cross axle for the front ski spindles. The perimeter frame members are attached to and reinforced with respect to the tunnel that houses the drive track to provide a rigid structure that permits a wide spacing at the front of the tunnel for placing an engine and torque converter in a low position, to aid in lowering the center of gravity of the snowmobile, without complex mounting and frame members.
