A method includes receiving, at a first device, an option to receive a video identified by a second device, the option received during a communication session between the first device and the second device. The method includes receiving, at the first device, input indicating acceptance of the offer. The method includes, in response to the input, automatically making a determination, at the first device, whether to have the video sent to a video output device that is distinct from the first device, to receive the video at the first device, or both. The determination is based on a location of the first device. The method also includes, in response to the determination indicating to have the video sent to the video output device, sending a notification to the application server. The notification identifies the video output device.

Enhanced video sharing

Methods and devices for providing presence based messaging are disclosed. For example, a method receives a message including a message content, an identifier of a recipient and a presence parameter. The presence parameter may comprise a speed parameter pertaining to a speed of a device associated with the recipient or a mood parameter pertaining to a mood of the recipient. The method then stores the message and delivers the message to the device associated with the recipient when the presence parameter is satisfied.

Presence information based messaging

Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed for sharing video between devices during a voice call. A sending party and a receiving party can view a video during the voice call, enabling a live discussion of the video. During a connected voice call, a first mobile device signals to an application server the desire to share a video with a second mobile device. The application server appropriately instructs a media server to obtain the video and transcode the video for delivery to the second mobile device, the first mobile device, and/or an external display device. The video may be streamed to the media server from the first mobile device or the media server may otherwise locate the video from within the network. The media server streams the video to the second mobile device, the first mobile device, and/or the external display device.

A communication method for transferring communication data between a plurality of participants is provided. The participants include at least one active participant that generates the communication data and at least one passive participant that does not generate the communication data. The communication method includes receiving, by a primary server, the communication data generated by the active participant and transmitting, by the primary server, the communication data received from the active participant to at least one secondary server that does not receive any communication data from any of the active participant and the at least one passive participant. The secondary server receives the communication data transmitted from the primary server and transmits the received communication data to the passive participant.

Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for detecting presence using a presence sensor network. In some embodiments, a computer executing a presence service generates a user interface for display at a user device. The user interface can include a control that, when selected, generates room data defining a monitored location. The computer can obtain sensor identifier data that identifies a presence sensor located at the monitored location and a location of the presence sensor at the monitored location. The computer can provide the user interface to the user device to obtain the room data and obtain the room data. The computer also can store the room data and the sensor identifier data.
