A bulk bag handling assembly, includes a bulk bag having a bottom and opposed pairs of peripheral side walls. A pair of outer lifting tine receiving channels are provided along the bottom in parallel spaced relation to one of the opposed pairs of peripheral side walls. A pair of inner lifting tine receiving channels positioned between the outer lifting tine receiving channels. The bulk bag handling assembly described can be used with a wide variety of lifting equipment.

Bulk bag handling assembly

A bulk bag () and rigid fork lift tine receiving member () combination. The combination includes a bulk bag () having a bottom () and a peripheral sidewall (). Two rigid parallel-piped fork lift tine receiving members () are provided, each having an exterior surface with a tie receiving channel () extending across a bottom face () of the exterior surface. The fork lift tine receiving members () are tied with ties () to the bottom of the bulk bag (). The ties () are positioned within the receiving channels (), which protects them from wear as the fork lift tine receiving members () move across a floor.

Bulk bag and rigid fork lift tine receiving member combination

A bulk bag with integral pallets includes a flexible bag body having a bottom and sidewalls. Two elongate pallet members are provided having axially extending openings adapted to receive fork tines from a fork lift. Each of the two elongate pallet members has at least one underlying wear pad. The two elongate pallet members are secured to the bottom of the bag body with the least one underlying wear pad exposed. The securing straps, laces or elasticized sleeves are protected from wear by the underlying wear pad which provides an underlying wear surface.

Bulk bag with integral pallets

A bulk bag comprising a flexible body having a bottom and sidewalls and at least one pair of tubular fork tine receiving members including a rigidifying insert and a flexible sleeve depending from the bottom of the body for removably inserting the rigidifying insert therein. Further, the receiving members are arranged in substantially parallel spaced relation across the bottom of the body such that fork tines from a forklift are insertable into the receiving members to lift the body. In one aspect, the rigidifying insert has a mating component which clamps around the sleeve and onto the rigidifying insert in order to preclude the rigidifying insert from being withdrawn from the sleeve. In another aspect, the sleeve is made from a material with sufficient elasticity to stretch to receive the rigidifying insert and then contract to inhibit the rigidifying insert from being withdrawn from the sleeve.

Bulk bag

A bulk bag includes a flexible body having a bottom. At least one pair of tubular fork tine receiving members are arranged in parallel spaced relation across the bottom of the body. Fork tines from a forklift are insertable into the receiving members to lift the body.
