Syringe tip caps are described herein. Such syringe tip caps may include a cup, a cap, a locking feature, a peelable seal and an absorbent material. The cap having locking features and a chamber appropriately sized to adapt to and interlock with an annular wall of the cup.

Integrated disinfection device

A thermoplastic elastomer stopper that meets the desired material properties of a stopper for a syringe assembly is disclosed. The compression set of the thermoplastic elastomer stopper of the present disclosure is &#x2264;50% when measured at 25% compression for 22 hrs at 70 degree C. The hardness of the thermoplastic elastomer stopper of the present disclosure is 40-70 Shore A. The viscosity of a thermoplastic elastomer stopper of the present disclosure is &#x2265;70 Pa&#xb7;s at 1,000 sshear rate, &#x2265;12.0 Pa&#xb7;s at 10,000 sshear rate, and &#x2265;3.0 Pa&#xb7;s at 50,000 sshear rate when measured using a capillary rheometer at 205 degree C. (Die: Roundhole 20 mm length/1 mm diameter/180 degree inlet, Piston: d=15 mm, and melting time=7 min). The present non-lubricated stopper exhibits the required functional performance of a lubricated stopper.

Enteral syringe

A syringe having barrel and a non-luer tip that is not connectable to an intravenous device is disclosed. The syringe as an enteral collar engagement feature adjacent the distal end of the syringe barrel. The syringe has an enteral collar having a distal end and proximal end, the proximal end having a syringe engagement feature complementary to and engagable with the enteral collar engagement feature. The enteral collar is sized to permit connection to an enteral device and prevent connection to a device having a luer connector

A syringe packaging system that includes a packaging member defining a first compartment, a second compartment, and a third compartment that are in gaseous communication theretogether is disclosed. The first compartment is structured to receive a syringe barrel therein, the second compartment is structured to receive a plunger rod therein, and the third compartment is structured to receive an oxygen absorber therein. With the packaging member enclosing the syringe barrel, the plunger rod, and the oxygen absorber, the oxygen absorber is adapted to draw oxygen from within the syringe barrel and to absorb oxygen contained within at least one of the first compartment, the second compartment, and the third compartment of the packaging member. The syringe packaging system of the present disclosure also allows for reduced storage space of a syringe assembly.
