An automatic diver identification unit for providing motorized and multi-directional surface movement relative to a position of an underwater diver and to identify the position of a diver at the surface of a body of water. The automatic diver identification unit includes a buoyant main body portion having at least one interior chamber. An electronic control system is included within the automatic diver identification unit, and includes a diver movement detection switch. The unit operates to provide automated adjustment of a dive line relative to a signal received indicating the depth of the underwater diver. A propulsion means interconnected with the electronic control system identifies movement of the underwater diver and positions the unit above the diver. An identification signal identifies the location of the unit to other persons at the surface of a body of water.

Automatic diver identification unit

A bag manipulating method and assembly including a pair of bag grippers that receive and grip opposing side edges of a bag positioned in a loading station. The bag grippers are movable in a plane substantially normal to a longitudinal axis of the loading station. The bag manipulating assembly also includes upper and lower bag spreader assemblies, each having a suction cup to apply suction to the bag and a spreader plate that is insertable into the bag and movable to spread apart the bag. Preferably, the bag grippers move toward each other in a plane substantially normal to the longitudinal axis while the bag is being spread apart to facilitate opening the bag. To facilitate closing and sealing the bag, the bag grippers move away from each other in a plane substantially normal to the longitudinal axis after the bag has been filled.

Bag manipulating method and assembly for a bag filling station

A bag loading method and assembly including a bag tray for holding a stack of bags and a conveyor assembly positioned above the bag tray. The conveyor assembly is movable between a first position, where the conveyor assembly engages a bag, and a second position, where the conveyor assembly is inclined with respect to the bag tray. Preferably, the conveyor assembly includes first and second rollers, a body portion between the first and second rollers, at least one vacuum generator communicating with the body portion for providing vacuum to the conveyor assembly, and an endless belt encircling portions of the rollers and the body portion. The endless belt engages the bag from the bag tray when the conveyor assembly is in the first position, and moves the bag to a position where the bag can be opened and filled when the conveyor assembly is in the second position.

Bag loading method and assembly for a bag filling station

A bag filling station including a main body having a loading bay with a bottom, a first end, and a second end. The bottom of the loading bay may be movable in a horizontal direction. At the first end of the loading bay is a loading ram or actuator having a pusher arm which is also movable in a horizontal direction. Adjacent to the loading bay, at its second end, are two spreader plates, each of which is coupled to the main body and movable between a rearward position and a forward position. Each spreader plate is also moveable along a linear path, between a first, open position and a second, closed position. The bag filling station also includes a platform which is located near and above the second end of the loading bay and has a centrally positioned opening. A stack of bags is placed on the platform over the opening. Under the platform, near the second end of the loading bay, is a vertically oriented, linear actuator or rod. The rod has a top end with a finger mounted thereto and is capable of moving between a first, lower position and a second, upper position and between a first, rearward position and a second, forward position. In operation, the bottom side of a single bag on the platform is pulled through the opening in the platform by means of the finger on the vertically oriented rod.

Bag filling station

A device for sighting-in firearms is disclosed. The device comprises a telescope connected to a mandrel. The mandrel is sized to fit within a variety of calibers of gun bores. The mandrel has a tapered sleeve with a conical shape which centers the outside end of the sleeve in the outside end of the firearm bore. The inside end of the sleeve has a circumferentially expandable structure which allows the sleeve to be secured in the center of the bore when flared by the head of a slideable mandrel core. The telescope is connected to the mandrel with an optical arrangement through which the line of sight of the telescope is observable. The mandrel is constructed so that when the device is inserted in the bore of a firearm, the line of sight of the telescope is centered with and parallel to the axis of the mandrel, which is also the axis of the firearm bore.
