Described herein, a water-soluble personal cleansing product including a water-soluble fibrous structure; wherein the water-soluble fibrous structure comprises a plurality of fibrous elements; wherein the plurality of fibrous elements comprises one or more fibrous element-forming materials comprising one or more polyvinyl alcohols; and one or more active agents present within the plurality of fibrous elements, wherein the one or more active agents comprise one or more surfactants, wherein the one or more surfactants comprise at least one glutamate surfactant according to the general formula (I): wherein Ris a saturated or unsaturated, straight or branched alkyl or alkenyl chain with from 5 to 20 carbon atoms; and M is H, ammonium, triethanolammonium (TEA), sodium or potassium and mixtures thereof; and wherein the water-soluble fibrous structure is substantially free of alkyl sulfate and alkyl ether sulfate type of surfactants.

A skin cleansing composition has from about 0.05% to about 15%, by weight of the composition, of a plurality of color stable abrasive particles comprising a non-oxide colorant; and an antioxidant selected from the group consisting of tocopherol acetate (Vitamin E Acetate), butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), sodium benzotriazolyl butylphenol sulfate, Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and combinations thereof. The abrasive particles have a mean Circularity of from about 0.10 to about 0.60 and a mean particle size as expressed by the area-equivalent diameter of about 500 &#x3bc;m to about 2,000 &#x3bc;m and a Biodegradable Rate of about 30% to about 100%. The composition has a structured surfactant phase or surfactant phase having a Yield Stress of about 1 Pa to about 100 Pa or a Yield Stress of about 0.1 Pa to about 10 Pa, respectively.

Disclosed are antiperspirant and deodorant compositions having improved stability, low residue performance and/or improved cosmetics. These compositions comprise select concentrations of cyclohexasiloxane as a volatile silicone material from about 0.1% to about 50% by weight of an antiperspirant active, and from about 0.1% to about 50% by weight of a suspending agent, wherein the compositions are preferably substantially free of cyclotetrasiloxane. The selection of cyclohexasiloxane over other volatile silicone materials provides improved low residue performance, and especially when formulated as an aqueous emulsion it provides improved product stability in the form of extended duration of time within which the emulsion remains clear or nearly so.

Antiperspirant and deodorant compositions containing cyclohexasiloxane

All of these compositions remain clear or translucent over extended periods of time, and provide little or no skin irritation in addition to improved cosmetic benefits such as dry feel, ease of application, emolliency, fragrance longevity, and no powdery residue.

Gel deodorant compositions having reduced skin irritation

Disclosed are anhydrous antiperspirant gel-solid stick compositions which comprise a particulate antiperspirant active; a solid non-polymeric gellant that is substantially free of dibenzylidene alditol, n-acyl amino acid derivatives, organic polymeric gellants, and inorganic thickening agents; and an anhydrous liquid carrier having an average solubility parameter of from about 3 to about 13 (cal/cm,),wherein the composition has a visible residue index of from about 11 to about 30 L-value, a product hardness of from about 500 gram-force to about 5,000 gram-force, a ratio of an elastic to viscous moduli of from about 0.1 to about 100. The refractive indices of the particulate antiperspirant active, solid non-polymeric gellant, and anhydrous liquid carrier are not matched. The solid non-polymeric gellant is preferably a crystalline material having an average particle size of less than about 1 &mgr;m, and/or has an elongated particle morphology having an aspect ratio of greater than about 2. These antiperspirant gel-solid stick compositions provide improved low residue performance, antiperspirant and aesthetics.

Low residue antiperspirant gel-solid stick compositions

Disclosed are aqueous and anhydrous deodorant compositions which comprise from about 0.1% to about 89.9% by weight of a cyclodextrin odor controlling agent, from about 0.1% to about 30% by weight of a solid non-polymeric gellant and from about 10% to about 90% by weight of an aqueous or anhydrous liquid carrier. Also disclosed are methods of using and making the compositions. The disclosed compositions are especially effective at preventing or eliminating malodors resulting from perspiration.

Deodorant compositions containing cyclodextrin odor controlling agents

The present invention is directed to deodorant compositions, and methods of using such compositions, wherein the compositions comprise from about 0.1% to about 99.9% by weight of a deodorant active, fragrance or combination thereof, and from about 0.1% to about 99.9% by weight of a carrier comprising 1,2-hexanediol. The deodorant composition preferably further comprises a suitable gellant or structurant to provide the desired product form, including a deodorant gel solid stick. The 1,2-hexanediol carrier is a highly effective coupling agent and is milder to the skin when applied topically to the axilla or other areas of the skin as compared to many other polyol-containing deodorant compositions. The present invention also relates to the use of triclosan/triclocarban combinations for improved deodorant efficacy.
