A marine battery charger cable extender includes a terminal end that has a positive extender ring terminal and a negative extender ring terminal, and a connection end configured to connect to a terminal end of a pre-wired battery charger. The connection end includes a positive ring end, a positive ring connector configured to hold the positive ring end and galvanic connection with a positive ring terminal of the pre-wired battery charger, and a positive connection cover configured to completely encapsulate the connected positive ring end of the cable extender and the positive ring terminal of the pre-wired battery charger. The connection end also includes a negative ring end, a negative ring connector configured to hold the negative ring end in galvanic connection with a negative ring terminal of the pre-wired battery charger, and a negative connection cover configured to completely encapsulate the connected negative ring end of the cable extender and the negative ring terminal of the pre-wired battery charger.

A marine battery charger system configured to be installed on a marine vessel to charge a marine battery includes a housing, a charging circuit in the housing configured to receive AC power and to output a charge current to the marine battery, and a cord. The cord has a plug end configured to engage an AC power outlet and is configured to transmit the AC power from the AC power outlet to the charging circuit. A controller is configured to control a charging operation mode of the charging circuit and a status indicator is located at the plug end of the cord and configured to be controlled by the controller to indicate the charging operation mode of the charging circuit.

A plug holder for installing a male plug end of a marine battery charger on a marine vessel includes an outer housing, a removable sleeve, and a backstop. The outer housing has a front end defining a plug opening and a back end defining a back opening, wherein the outer housing is attachable to a vessel hull and configured to hold a male plug end of the marine battery charger within the outer housing such that it is accessible through the plug opening. The removable sleeve fits within the outer housing and is shaped to secure the male plug end within such that it does not move when connecting or disconnecting thereto. The backstop is removably connectable to the back end of the outer housing to cover the back opening. The backstop is configured to retain the removable sleeve and the male plug end within the outer housing.

A vehicle battery charger including a base unit configured to store various cables and clamps are provided. A battery charging cable and pair of battery terminal clamps coupled to the charging cable may be stored in a compartment formed in the base unit when not in use, the clamps secured to pegs mounted within the compartment and a cover closing over the compartment. A grid power cable that provides electrical power to the battery charger may be wrapped around a channel formed in the base unit and secured in the channel with a retainer when not in use.
