A method of assembling a firearm is provided. The method includes providing a bolt assembly that includes a bolt carrier that includes a cammed slot and a first passage, a bolt member slidably coupled to the bolt carrier and positioned within the first passage, the bolt member includes at least one aperture and a second passage, a piston member slidably coupled to the bolt member and positioned within the second passage, the piston member includes an elongated slot and a third passage, wherein the elongated slot includes a first length, and a cam pin slidably coupled to at least one of the bolt carrier, the bolt member and the piston member, the cam pin includes a fourth passage; and coupling the bolt assembly within a cavity of the firearm such that the bolt assembly is slidably coupled to an upper receiver of the firearm.

A trigger lock is shown which rotates from a fire position in which the trigger can operate and to a no-fire position in which the trigger cannot operate. The lock is located primarily within the frame. A thumb lever or a key can be used to engage the trigger lock to rotate the trigger lock from the fire to the no-fire position and vice versa.

A utility lighter ( ), which utilizes the fuel, the actuation mechanism ( ) and/or the child-resistant mechanism of a pocket lighter ( ), is disclosed. The utility lighter is sized and dimensioned to receive the pocket lighter. The utility lighter also defines a cut-out portion ( ) on its housing to expose the actuation mechanism and/or the child-resistant mechanism therethrough for user manipulation.

A locking mechanism is shown for locking weapons. The mechanism works with a lever that turns and locks and unlocks the weapon by interfacing with elements on the interior of the weapon. A key can be used to position a lock plunger such that the lever cannot be turned to the firing position, hence locking the weapon against unauthorized use.

The lighter of the present invention provides a resiliently deformable guard that covers a portion of the striking wheel assembly. To operate the lighter, a user exerts sufficient pressure to displace the guard before rotating the striking wheel assembly. The configuration of the guard with respect to other elements of the lighter and/or one or more retention means of the guard increases the retention of the guard. Further, the lighter of the present invention may provide a brake member to prevent the rotation of the striking wheel assembly when the user attempts to release fuel or rotate the striking wheel assembly before or without displacement of the guard.

The lighter of the present invention provides a resiliently deformable guard that covers a portion of the striking wheel assembly. To operate the lighter, a user exerts sufficient pressure to depress the guard before rotating the striking wheel assembly. The present invention also provides retention mechanisms to make the removal of the guard more difficult. Further, the lighter of the present invention provides brake members to prevent the rotation of the striking wheel assembly when the user attempts to release fuel prior to rotating the striking wheel assembly.

A gravity actuated lock for the e.g. dropside of a crib to hold the dropside elevated. A rotary lock enters a notch on the dropside rod under the influence of a relatively heavy manually manipulated member that is fixed to the rotary lock and actuates it to locking condition, with no spring present or needed. The lock is released by the operator by pulling or pushing upwardly on the member, which is available at the front of the crib.
