A power supply circuit is described herein which is capable of sourcing energy from an NFC antenna. In one embodiment, the circuit comprises a rectifier circuit configured to be coupled to an NFC antenna for receiving an antenna voltage, a filter coupled to an output of the rectifier circuit and configured to provide the rectified and smoothed antenna voltage as supply voltage, and a current limiting device coupled between the filter and an output node and configured to limit an output current provided at the output node dependent on a control signal. Further, the power supply circuit comprises a control circuit configured to receive the supply voltage and a reference voltage and to generate the control signal dependent on a difference between the reference voltage and the supply voltage.

Power supply circuit that sources energy from an NFC antenna

A circuit for an NFC chip is described herein. According to one exemplary configuration, the circuit comprises an antenna for near field communication, an antenna resonant circuit which has an adjustable resonant frequency, a temperature sensor and a controller circuit coupled to the temperature sensor. The controller circuit is designed to change the resonant frequency of the antenna resonant circuit according to a temperature sensor signal provided by the temperature sensor.

Circuit for wireless data transfer comprising temperature regulation

This disclosure includes a measuring device and a corresponding method. According to an exemplary embodiment, the measuring device comprises the following: a measuring circuit connected to one or more sensors; an RF frontend for near field communication (NFC) with an external device; a controller circuit coupled to the RF frontend and the measuring circuit and operative to receive measured values supplied from the measuring circuit, and wherein the controller circuit is further operative to check whether active communication with the external device occurs during a measurement and to store or discard one or more measured values supplied from the measuring circuit depending on this check. It is checked whether an NFC magnetic field is present during the measurement. Further configurations include a system comprising a measuring device and an NFC-enabled device.

Measuring system with interface for near field communication

A near field communication circuit includes an antenna, a circuit logic unit coupled to the antenna, an energy storage coupled to the antenna, and a shunt control circuit, coupled to the antenna, for controlling a first operating voltage provided for the circuit logic unit by the antenna. The circuit logic unit is set up such that in a first mode of operation the circuit logic unit is operated by the first operating voltage provided by the antenna. The circuit logic unit is set up to control the shunt control circuit such that in the first mode of operation at least some of the electric power provided by the antenna is supplied to the energy storage for the purpose of charging same with the electric power.

A functional skin patch having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface is provided. The functional skin patch includes a functional unit having a thermo harvester and an antenna unit. The thermo harvester has a first terminal thermally connected to the first surface and a second terminal. The antenna unit has a first terminal thermally connected to the second terminal of the thermo harvester and a second terminal thermally connected to the second surface. The antenna unit has a stacked layer structure including, in this sequence, a metal layer thermally connected to the second terminal of the thermo harvester, a ferrite layer thermally connected to the metal layer, and an antenna layer thermally connected to the ferrite layer.

The contactless circuit arrangement includes at least one antenna, an antenna tuning circuit having a plurality of electrical components, and an energy supply interface which is connected to the antenna tuning circuit in an electrically conductive manner and is intended to supply electrical energy for electrically connecting or disconnecting at least one electrical component of the plurality of electrical components for adapting the antenna tuning circuit to a target frequency.

The RFID-tag is configured to provide information related to the tire identification and it is configured to be powered by the TPMS device. The RFID-tag comprises a memory module configured to store the information related to the tire identification and a transmitter module configured to transmit the information related to the tire identification to a receiver device of a vehicle or a service station. The TPMS device comprises a coupling element configured to provide Radio Frequency power to the RFID-tag, for providing information related to tire identification.

A communication arrangement may include a communication device, which may include an application processor, a mobile radio circuit, and a near-field communication (NFC) circuit configured according to an NFC technology for transmission of data and energy for operating a circuit external to the communication device. The arrangement may include a flexible carrier mounted detachably on the communication device. The carrier may include a radio circuit, an NFC circuit configured according to an NFC technology, a circuit coupled to the NFC circuit and the radio circuit, which is configured to be operated with energy which is received by means of the NFC circuit according to the NFC technology, the circuit configured for converting data coded in accordance with the NFC technology into data coded in accordance with the radio technology, or for converting data coded in accordance with the radio technology into data coded in accordance with the NFC technology.

A circuit arrangement includes a first antenna configured to couple to an electromagnetic field from a first frequency band and a second antenna configured to couple to an electromagnetic field from a second frequency band, the second frequency band being different than the first frequency band. The first antenna is connected in series with the second antenna as an electrical supply line therefor.

A controller for controlling a power converter is described. The controller may include a current sensor and a pulse modulation device. The current sensor may receive a first amount of current from the power converter. In response to receiving the first amount of current, the pulse modulation device may output a pulse modulated signal defined by a first frequency. After outputting the pulse modulated signal defined by the first frequency, the pulse modulation device may adjust the pulse modulated signal from the first frequency to a second frequency. The current sensor may receive a second amount of current from the power converter. The pulse modulation device may also re-adjust, the pulse modulated signal from the second frequency to a third frequency; and output the pulse modulated signal defined by the third frequency.
