A mascara application system includes two brushes on wands, biased together, requiring force by fingers to separate brushes. Once open or separated, brushes can be positioned on opposite sides (surfaces, top and bottom) of an eyelash (speaking of the entire lash, not individual fibers). Upon release of the force, brushes close on each other, with no affirmative force required to keep them together, fingers now free to manipulate by holding, rolling, drawing, or otherwise controlling the handle portion. A receptacle portion containing mascara product may receive, and seal the applicator with or without relative rotation, depending on the embodiment. The best functional embodiment requires no rotation of the squeegee seal, but instead causes the squeegee to move brushes and wands radially outward with limited movement (toggling) in almost any direction when partially withdrawn through the squeegee.

Stabilized, precision, dual-brush eyelash application apparatus and method

A mascara application system includes two brushes on arms or wands. A manufacturing approach is included. Wands are biased together, requiring force to separate brushes to place brushes on opposite sides (surfaces, top and bottom) of an eyelash. Upon release of the force brushes remain in contact with no affirmative force required to keep them together. During application of mascara, a user's fingers remain free to manipulate the position and movement of the brushes by holding, rolling, drawing, or otherwise controlling the handle to which the wands anchor. Brushes may be the same or different sizes, on simple, cantilevered arms or in a crossed (reverse tweezers) configuration. A reservoir of mascara product may receive, and seal by means of engaging, the applicator without relative rotation.

A two-component buckle having a male component and a female component, the female component having a housing with a bore located at a mating end of the housing, the bore being oriented along a lateral axis of the housing; and the male member having a keeper element that fits within the bore to latch the male and female components together is disclosed herein. A latching mechanism is slidingly disposed within the housing and includes a latch pawl with a latching leg that is biased over the bore in the housing, serving as a secondary latch to help prevent the keeper element from being inadvertently disengaged from the bore.

The present invention provides a sealing device for an opening. The device includes a body that has a first side and a second side. A passageway is formed through the body such that the passageway has a first end adjacent to the first side and a second end that is adjacent to the second side. A sealing member is provided that includes an outer gasket and an inner gasket. The outer gasket is positioned adjacent the first side and the inner gasket is positioned adjacent the second side. A seal connector connects the inner gasket and the outer gasket and the seal connector passes through the passageway. In this way, the inner gasket and the outer gasket are mechanically attached to the ring. The sealing device is configured for use in such applications as sealing the cargo opening on the deck of a kayak.

A furniture foot assembly including a foot support block and an attachable furniture foot. The foot support block includes a substantially triangular-shaped body having rectangular outer walls joined together along at one of the end edges to form an intersection having an angle of about 90.degree. corresponding to the angle between adjoining rails of an item of furniture. An elongated boss is aligned with the intersection and is adapted to receive a furniture foot having a stem. The elongated boss provides a sufficient area of contact between the stem of the furniture foot without adding unnecessary weight. In the preferred embodiment, a boss support structure is formed from a bottom wall and a plurality of radial supports attached to the outer walls and the elongated boss.

A dispenser for feeding perforated paper towels from a continuous roll. The dispenser includes a dispenser body for containing the paper towel roll which may be mounted to a supporting surface such as a wall. A unique feeder assembly is attached to the dispenser body for dispensing an end portion of the continuous roll. The feeder assembly includes a feeder body having a back wall, first and a second side walls attached on each side edge and a bottom wall attached to the bottom edge of the back and side walls. A first aperture is located on the bottom wall of the feeder body and a face plate having a second aperture overlapping the first aperture also is attached to the feeder body. The pair of overlapping apertures are biased against one another for receiving and dispensing an individual paper towel. In the preferred embodiment, a removable flange attaches the feeder assembly to the dispenser body. The flange includes a locking mechanism for lockingly engaging the flange onto the dispenser body.

A suture cutter which is adapted to clamp, sever and cauterize a thermoplastic suture includes a housing having an electrical power source located in the housing and a trigger attached to the housing having open and closed positions. A suture clamp is attached to the housing and includes a stationary jaw and a pivotal jaw. A radiant heating element is adjacent to the suture clamp. An actuator connects the trigger to the pivotal jaw and electrical circuitry joins the power source to the radiant heating element. Closing of the trigger first closes the pivotal jaw against the stationary jaw to hold a suture, and then completes the circuitry to sever and cauterize the suture with radiant heat.

A suture cutter which is adapted to clamp, sever and cauterize a thermoplastic suture. The suture cutter includes a housing having an electrical power source located in the housing and a trigger attached to the housing having open and closed positions. A suture clamp is attached to the housing and includes a stationary jaw and a pivotal jaw. A radiant heating element is adjacent to the suture clamp. An actuator connects the trigger to the pivotal jaw and electrical circuitry joins the power source to the radiant heating element. Closing of the trigger first closes the pivotal jaw against the stationary jaw to hold a suture, and then completes the circuitry to sever and cauterize the suture with radiant heat.

A case having a base and a cover is disclosed. The base and cover are releasably secured to one another in a first position such that the base and cover may be moved axially and may be pivoted with respect to one another. The base and cover are permanently secured to one another in a second position such that the base and cover may be pivoted with respect to one another. The respective movements of the base and cover in the first and second position enables the case to be displayed in a fully open condition allowing the consumer to view the product within the case.
