Some embodiments of the invention include inventive catalysts (e.g., catalysts of Formula (I)). Other embodiments include compositions comprising the inventive catalysts. Some embodiments include methods of using the inventive catalysts (e.g., in hydrofluorination of an organic compound). Further embodiments include methods for making the inventive catalysts. Additional embodiments of the invention are also discussed herein.

Catalysts, methods of making, and methods of hydrofluorination

The method and materials of this invention make possible substantially faster techniques for organic-aqueous extractions and routine chemical reactions work-ups. The inventive material uses silicone elastomer-coated glass powders, magnetic powders, and sponges as absorbents to extract organic products from an aqueous mixture. After separation from the mixture, these different forms now loaded with organic products can serve as a convenient input for flash chromatographic separations or other processing. With these techniques, tedious liquid-liquid extractions are replaced by a simple solid filtration or transfer and emulsion formation is eliminated. These versatile sorbents can also be used for larger scale work-ups, various extractions of organics from an aqueous solution (e.g., water purification) or gas phase and various analytical or other applications.

Method and material for synthesis and purification by use of a coated solid substrate

Some embodiments of the invention include inventive catalysts (e.g., compounds of Formula (I) or (Ia)). Other embodiments include compositions comprising the inventive catalysts. Some embodiments include methods of using the inventive catalysts (e.g., in hydrofluorination of an organic compound). Further embodiments include methods for making the inventive catalysts. Additional embodiments of the invention are also discussed herein.

Methods of hydrofluorination

Some aspects of the invention include attenuating DNMT1 inhibitor activity in an animal comprising administering an antioxidant. Other aspects of the invention include methods comprising administering a composition comprising a DNMT1 inhibitor and an antioxidant. In some instances in the methods, the animal is undergoing a treatment for cancer. Additional aspects of the invention include compositions comprising a DNMT1 inhibitor and an antioxidant.

Compositions and methods for modulating DNMT1 inhibitor activity

Certain embodiments of the invention include compositions comprising a compound of Formula (I), and salts, isomers, and derivatives thereof. Pharmaceutical compositions of some embodiments of the present invention comprise a compound of Formula (I), and salts, isomers, and derivatives thereof. Other embodiments of this invention include methods for treating disease (e.g., cancer) and methods for administering a compound of Formula (I), and salts, isomers, and derivatives thereof.

Compounds, compositions, pharmaceutical compositions, and methods of use

Disclosed herein are novel methods of using polymeric adsorbent resin for chemical synthesis and the purification of product therefrom. Also disclosed herein is a novel method of using silica gel for the combination of chemical reaction and chromatography into a single step. The methods disclosed herein increase the efficiency of chemical synthesis processes. Accordingly, the utility of the methods disclosed herein includes the ability to automate chemical synthesis and purification of the resulting products.

Embodiments of the present invention provide compounds (such as Formula (I) compounds, Formula (II) compounds, and various embodiments thereof). Compositions comprising those compounds are also provided. Methods for their preparation are included.
