A vehicle, in particular to a rail vehicle, has at least one drive motor and a brake control device. A monitoring device measures, in the braking mode of the vehicle, at least one drive current which flows through the drive motor, and at least one drive voltage which is applied to the drive motor, to form measured values, and to generate operational information which specifies the mode of operation of the drive motor, in particular braking information which specifies a braking effect of the drive motor, on the basis of the measured values.

Vehicle

A device which is configured for controlling a vehicle drive () for traction of a vehicle has a drive control apparatus and a monitoring apparatus. In order to ensure a high degree of safety when using the vehicle drive during rapid deceleration of the vehicle, the monitoring apparatus provides a traction release control signal value to the drive control apparatus, under the effect of which the drive control apparatus is enabled to control the vehicle drive, if, in addition to a traction release request signal value due to a rapid deceleration request and an additional traction lock request signal value due to a traction lock request, an additional traction release request signal value due to a traction release condition has effect on the monitoring apparatus. There is also described a vehicle with such a device and to a method for controlling a vehicle drive for traction of a vehicle.

Device and method for controlling a drive apparatus for traction of a vehicle

A vehicle, such as a rail vehicle, has an electrodynamic braking apparatus with at least one brake resistor. The at least one brake resistor forms a portion of the vehicle body shell that is permanently closed and over which air flows on the exterior, in particular, during travel of the vehicle. In the alternative, the brake resistor is arranged in the immediate vicinity of the permanently closed portion. The brake resistor conducts away heat outwardly to the environment via the permanently closed portion. There is also described a brake resistor for a vehicle, in particular for a rail vehicle, which is configured accordingly.

A method for controlling a braking torque of a drive system and for braking a vehicle includes in a first state connecting phase connections of a synchronous machine to one another by a changeover apparatus and short circuiting the phase connections such that a first braking torque develops at the synchronous machine. In a second state the phase connections are connected to one another by the changeover apparatus and to a resistance, such that a second braking torque develops at the synchronous machine. The changeover apparatus periodically switches between the first and second states at a switching frequency of 10 Hz or higher to produce a pre-settable braking torque at the synchronous machine, with the changeover between the first state and the second state being controlled by a timing element in an unregulated manner.

Reliable electric brake for a synchronous engine

A method for discharging an intermediate circuit capacitor of an intermediate voltage circuit converter with an electronic power converter is disclosed, wherein a main switch arranged between an AC power supply network and a primary winding of a transformer is opened and a line contactor connected between a first terminal of a secondary winding of the transformer and a first AC voltage-side connection of the electronic power converter is closed. A second terminal of the secondary winding of the transformer is connected to a second AC voltage-side connection of the electronic power converter. A pre-charging contactor connected in series with a pre-charging resistor is connected in parallel with the line contactor. Two switchable power semiconductors of the electronic power converter, which are located diagonally opposite each other in different branches of the electronic power converter, are switched on.

Method for discharging an intermediate circuit capacitor of an intermediate voltage circuit converter

A diesel-electric drive system having a generator mechanically connected to a diesel motor on the rotor side and linked to a voltage source (intermediate) inverter on the stator side. The voltage source inverter is connected to a self-commuting pulse power converter on the generator and on the load side as well as to a brake resistor. The generator has two multiple-phase coil systems which are each electroconductively linked to a self-commuting pulse power converter on the generator side, wherein the second self-commuting pulse power converter on the generator side is switched electrically parallel to the voltage source (intermediate) circuit of the voltage source (intermediate) inverter on the generator side. At least one input phase of the first self-commuting pulse power converter on the generator side is electroconductively linked via a brake resistor to a input phase of the second self-commuting pulse power converter on the generator side.

System and method for developing reusable flexible and platform independent software using components

A method and a switching arrangement are provided for regulating a two-dimensional vector of a controlled system with a discrete value final controlling element having a limited switching frequency. The discrete value final controlling element also has limited number of actual-value vectors. A switching arrangement, such as a microprocessor, receives actual values for the two-dimensional vector as well as a reference vector and selects three actual-value vectors that are adjacent to the reference vector. The switching arrangement generates a reference trajectory which represents a sequence of vector settings for the discrete value final controlling element. A switch from one actual-value vector to another takes place when the distance between the two-dimensional vector and a next corner point of the reference trajectory is at a minimum. The resulting mean value of the generated two-dimensional vector is equal to the reference vector.
