A generator assembly for harvesting energy in a bearing arrangement having a first ring and a second ring is provided. The generator assembly includes a plurality of coils attached to the first ring and configured to interact with a magnet ring with alternating magnetization directions attached to the second ring, and a plug connector for supplying power generated by the generator assembly to external devices. The coils are encapsulated and mounted in an outer carrier ring such that the winding axis is oriented in a radial direction of the bearing and the magnet ring is composed of plural permanent magnets attached to an inner carrier ring attached to the inner ring of the bearing.

A spherical roller bearing having an inner ring, an outer ring, first and second roller sets disposed therebetween, and a guide element for guiding the rollers of at least one roller set. The guide element is rotational about a bearing axis of rotation during bearing operation. A power generator assembly including a rotating part and a non-rotating part is provided. It is proposed that the rotating part includes first and second, circumferentially adjacent generator units. Each generator unit includes at least one coil, at least one permanent magnet and two pole shoes having pole surfaces facing radially outward. The non-rotating part includes an arc-shaped saddle adaptor of ferromagnetic material arranged with a radial distance to the pole surfaces. The saddle adaptor is configured to close a magnetic circuit passing via the pole shoes through the coil in a rotational position where the saddle adaptor overlaps with the pole shoes of a generator unit. According to the invention, a pole shoe of the first generator unit and an adjacent pole shoe of the second generator unit have the same magnetic polarity.

Power generator assembly for rotating applications

The arrangement is provided with an energy generating system, comprising at least one micro generator module.
