An electromechanical joining module for applying a linear force to a joining element, includes a stator, which represents the stationary part of the joining module, a tappet, which can be linearly extended out of the stator and which has an outer tappet end, and a force transducer for detecting forces that are applied to the joining element during the operation of the tappet end. The force transducer is attached in the area of the tappet end and has sensor electronics for wirelessly transmitting measurement data by means of near-field and far-field telemetry.

The invention relates to a tool having a tool element which rotates in operation with at least one geometrically defined blade, in particular a material cutting tool element. The tool element is subject to an operating parameter in the operating condition. A measuring device is provided for determination and conversion of the operation parameter into a measured signal. A first measuring device cooperates with a first tool element in the operating condition such that essentially only a first operating parameter for the first tool element may be recorded by the first measuring device.

Tool condition monitoring system

A piezoelectric sensor for bending moment measurements has measuring elements separating at their axes and electrically connecting both halves with their opposing directions of polarization. Such a sensor, mounted with its axis on the neutral bending axis of a machine structure, thus measures concurrently both tension and compression of the machine on both sides of the axis thereof.

Transverse force measurement

A strain gauge measures elongation and compression at a surface of a component. The strain gauge comprise a housing having a fixation configured to attach the strain gauge to the surface to be measured, a connector for contacting a measuring cable, at least two support surfaces at the housing for securely bearing on the surface to be measured. At least one of the support surfaces is provided with a transduction element and with a measuring element for measuring shearing forces. The measuring element is connected by an internally disposed cable to the connector and to a module that comprises that at least one support surface provided with the measuring element pre-assembled together with the transduction element.

Strain gauge

The invention relates to a measuring sensor held under pre-stress for measuring forces and/or torques. In the inventive embodiment, a sensor is integrated into an adapter sleeve, which is configured in a compact manner in such a way that it is equipped with devices for connection to an adapter part and devices for fixing to a measuring component. The sensor is subjected to the required pre-stress by connecting the adapter sleeve to the adapter part. An amplification module can also be mounted in the adapter sleeve.

A force measuring device includes a transducer mounted on a screw spindle, having force introducing elements interacting directly with the inside taper of a cylindrical sleeve to brace the device in a hold and preload the transducer. The screw spindle is displaced by a moving nut which is guided radially in the sleeve and supported axially at both sides. For bracing the device in a hole, mechanisms are provided for holding the force measuring device in a defined axial position and angle of rotation and for actuating the moving nut. These mechanisms do not extend beyond the outside diameter of the sleeve.
