Providing virtualized credentials of a license holder includes determining contextual data that governs visual information presented on a display and displaying credential data on the display, where visual characteristics of the credential data that is displayed varies according to the contextual data. The display may be a display on a device of the license holder or a display on a device that is viewable by a relying party. The visual characteristics may be modified according to a location of at least some of the credential data on the display on the device of the license holder, a particular font used, a particular color used for text, a color scheme of an existing image and/or a specific image that is independent of the credential data. The visual characteristics may be modified according to the color scheme by changing a background color on the screen of the device of the license holder.

Visual verification of virtual credentials and licenses

A security system includes a first security badge having a visual portion that varies according to signals provided to the first security badge and an authorization server that periodically provides signals to the first security badge in response to a query of the authorization server by the first security badge while the first security badge remains in a controlled zone, the signals varying independently of reader access of the first security badge. The first security badge may be read by a reader only in connection with initial entry into the controlled zone. Authorization of a user of the first security badge may vary while the user remains in the controlled zone. The first security badge may include a visual image of a user of the first security badge and displays additional information. The additional information may include name and authorization status of the user.

Continuous authorization monitoring

Establishing communication between a secure web application and a local native application is provided. A first input is received to establish a direct Web Real-Time Communication data channel between the secure web application running in a web browser and the local native application running outside the web browser in the data processing system. In response to receiving the first input, the direct Web Real-Time Communication data channel is established between the secure web application running in the web browser and the local native application running outside the web browser in the data processing system.

Direct communication between a secure application and a local application running on the same device

Providing an electronic message includes constructing a first digital signature of the message and a personal secret known only to a sender of the message, constructing a second digital signature of the first digital signature and the message, and sending to a receiver the message, the first digital signature, and the second digital signature. The personal secret may be initially generated by the sender. The personal secret may be a pseudo-random number. The receiver may archive the message, the first signature, and the second signature. In response to a challenge, the message and the first and second signatures sent with the message may be compared using first and second signatures reconstructed by the sender. In response to at least one of the message and the first signature not matching, the message may be repudiated. Otherwise, the message may be validated. The sender may be a cell phone.

Non-repudiation of electronic transactions

A keyboard includes a plurality of keys, a plurality of keyboard components coupled to the keys, and one-time password (OTP) generation hardware integrated with at least some of the keyboard components, where actuating at least one of the keys causes a one-time password to be generated. The OTP generation hardware may be actuated with a dedicated button on the keyboard, by pressing a button on the keyboard that is otherwise used for pairing the keyboard to a device, or by pressing a specific sequence of keys on the keyboard. The keyboard may maintain state information to cause input by the user for OTP generation to be provide to the OTP generation hardware instead of to a device paired with the keyboard. The keyboard may also include a display that is part of the keyboard, where the display shows the one-time password generated by the OTP hardware.
