A motion transmitting coupling link comprises a metal base element having a flattened end portion having a through hole in which a ball socket is anchored. The ball socket is moulded in position and is made of a plastics material. Radial slits extend outwardly from the edge of the hole, so as to define tongues which are bent out from the plane of the end portion. The invention is especially applicable to use in windshield wiper linkages.

A brush holder device for an electric motor includes a support for the brushes, this support having a central passage through which a commutator, fixed to the shaft of the motor can be introduced. Stop means are also provided for holding the brushes in a position in which they are spaced away from this passage. In accordance with the invention, the stop means include a cover member having a base which is fixed with respect to the support plate and which is extended axially through a frusto conical wall which is adapted to be folded back on itself.

The brush holder for an electric machine, which may be either a motor or a generator, and comprises a stator and a rotor provided with a collector ring against which there bears at least one electrically conductive carbon brush, in a housing of the brush holder orientated substantially radially in the stator of the machine. Elastic are between the brush and a bearing surface formed by the end plate of the brush holder housing, said elastic being capable of pressing the brush against the collector ring. The bearing surface for the elastic is situated radially outwardly of the stator beyond the internal surface of the peripheral wall of the electrical machine.
