One or more atmospheric propagation effects are estimated by using a phase comparison between and upper sideband and a lower sideband of a modulated signal. In one embodiment, one or more propagation effects are estimated by using a phase comparison between an upper sideband and a lower sideband of a satellite navigation signal. In one embodiment, one or more ionospheric propagation effects are estimated by using a phase comparison between an upper sideband and a lower sideband of a GPS M-code signal.

An elongate semiflexible woven lumbar support belt has a wide central support portion and a pair of interconnectable opposite end portions which are significantly narrower than the central support portion. The central support portion is formed from a webbing having a plurality of warp strands interwoven with a plurality of weft strands. The warp and weft strands, respectively, are fixedly attached to each other at angular junctions such that the stiffness of the webbing is greater than if the strands were not fixedly attached to each other at the angular junctions. The warp strands are spaced apart from each other and the weft strands likewise are spaced apart from each other to provide ventilation through the webbing.

A courtesy light is provided for tractor-trailer to flash a THANK YOU after passing a motor who indicates it is safe to return to the right hand lane of the road. The courtesy light is mounted on the bumper of the truck between the vertical members of the bumper and above the horizontal member of the bumper where it is easily seen by automobile drivers. The courtesy light is operated by a switch in the cab of the tractor-trailer and may flash a single time of predetermined duration or flash intermittently with a single operation of the switch.

Compositions of matter based on the reaction product of a dioxime compound and a polyisocyanate compound, made by reacting the compounds in an inert organic liquid in such a proportion that the ratio of oxime groups to isocyanate groups in the reaction is greater than 2:1, and is preferably about 2.5:1. The reaction product may be used in an adhesive composition which further includes an elastomer with a degree of unsaturation of greater than two mole percent, which is preferably an ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer, and which may further include a film-forming adjunct, an inert filler material, and an inert solvent. The adhesive composition, which does not require an oxidizing agent, may be made into a liquid adhesive composition by mixing with an inert organic liquid. The liquid adhesive composition may be used to bond rubber to metal, producing useful bonded and laminated articles, by coating at least one of the substrate surfaces to be bonded with the composition; bringing both substrate surfaces into contact with the composition layered therebetween; and maintaining contact under sufficient conditions of time, temperature, and pressure to effect bonding. Both cured and uncured rubbers may be bonded.
